Ha! I watched (well half-watched while painting) 'A Bridge too Far' and 'Tobruk' on Sunday arvo while painting my Bolt Action Aussies (and my first test figure for the IJA).

Today I got enough Ashigaru put together to form a unit of Teppo (handgunners), undercoated them and got the first part of their basecoat done.

It's clearly A Bridge Too Far season. :D

@Spev, that is some pimped up shit. Good work man. Looks awesome.

@Miguel Awesome also. Good attention to detail on those small minis.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I highly approve! I played the Renegade Legion starfighter game (forgot the name) a couple times. I remember it used a more natural velocity mechanic. Once you set your speed, you kept on going! You had to spend your energy points not to move so much, but to turn and slow down!

My Sengokujidai army will be a mix of Perry and Wargames Factory miniatures. I have about 250 miniatures in total including cavalry and infantry.
I know we agreed that July would be the deadline for our first game, but I think the July gaming event will only be 40K Apocalypse. Why don't we make the first game August instead?

I'm surprised that there is so much talk of Market Garden this week given that the anniversary of D-Day was just celebrated.

@Prim

SENGOKU game at August Joshin could be very convenient for me.
I can spend my summer holidays to build my western Daimiyo army.
Now my paint status are as below.

Ashigaru teppo 25pcs primed 50pcs on order
Ashigaru long spear 25pcs primed 50pcs on order
Samurai spear 25pcs primed 50pcs on order
Samurai cavalry 12pcs on assemble 12pcs on order

Total number 249pcs

I guess we will have fairly big game at end of August.

Probably not. I will definitely have 4 units done by then, but I have other painting commitments as well. My plan is to get a core force done in the next two months and then try to add more units every month after that. I will see what I can do, but I'm aiming for 1 Cavalry, 1 Teppo, 1 Yari Ashigaru and 1 Yari Samurai unit. If I can do more, I will.
