God yes! It's all a bit silly really. Who cares what happens, as long you can still put down your minis that you have taken the time to paint up as nicely as you can, push them around the table with your mates, and enjoy a few beers while doing it.Primarch wrote:I think it's actually a permanent state of affairs for them.YellowStreak wrote:So, basically the same as with any change to a codex or rules then?Lovejoy wrote:Dakka Dakka and BoLS folk are incandescent with nerd rage.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I painted the skin on my current project of a unit of Ashigaru. Then I washed it, painted in the eyes and highlighted it. I also put a couple of licks of paint on a couple of random minis that were within arms reach.
I had the day off so I could probably have done more, but I wound up playing games on the PC for several hours. Sins of a Solar Empire (galaxy conquering and resource management), Unreal Tournament 2004 (looks dated, but still a very fun FPS) and Anno 2070 (Sim City with an environmental twist).
All in all a relaxing day.

Finished up a unit of AA tanks for DZC, but mostly my time was taken up by the XCOM expansion having been on sale for half off on Steam.

@ MJ This is another great looking mini to a great looking army. The ships colours work really well with their units. It was a pleasure to play them.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I was supposed to only be working the evening. However, my boss asked me to work a couple of hours before and after lunch so bye bye hobby time.
Then my boss emailed me and told me that my evening class was cancelled. Yay!
So, with my newly acquired hobby time I was able to clean up a half dozen metal samurai, enough to finish off my Hatamoto unit and my Daimyo commander. After dinner I was able to get a quick round of painting done on my Ashigaru as well. Not a terrible day after all.

Finished assembly of the 5 drop pods! Well, actually, I tell a lie..they are each in 3 bigger bits now, after each bit is sprayed with undercoat, they'll be finally, finally assembled, but yes, they are basically done.
Quite happy with that. Only 30 odd Space Wolves to assemble now
, a read through of the new ruleset and codex again, and I will be ready for Sunday.

Finished up some DZC stuff last night. Trying to decide whether to do the hill trolls (10mm, for Bo5A) I have primed up first, or some sexy new 6mm buildings I just got in from Gamecraft.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I bought (on steam, damn their sales...)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (GOTY ed)
Batman: Arkham City (GOTY ed)
Batman: Arkham Origins
and a wee game that looked intriguing called Endless Space
The whole lot cost me 25 bucks, which for what will probably amount to months of entertainment, I consider pretty good.
Anyway. I shall be off to install my new funsies now
I may be some time...
No mini stuff today, btw. Too sleepy.
