Staying in London in a hotel in Kensington, a few minutes walk from The Natural History Museum. Weather is sunny and pleasant. After a nice stroll, had elevensies in Kensington Park at a place called The Orangery, after which we scoffed some great sausage sandwiches, and had ice cream. Found the Kensington GW, was surprised that the staff were pretty laid back and didn't leap on me like raptors exhorting me to buy stuff. I told the manager what a pleasant surprise it was. Could have picked up Stormclaw set, but realised I don't really need any of it, although I want the special sculpts, so passed. Did pick up a few inks, a tau fireblade, grots and a box of meganobz though.

@Jr, there's a nice shop called Orc's Nest on Shaftesbury Avenue, I will check it out if I have time. I've been before and the selection is good in terms of variety. Not much depth in each range though. Lots of boardgames, Warlord stuff, even some minor manufacturers like Copplestone.

Love Orc's Nest. Like you said, not much depth but so much variety.

Still enjoying London. I have always wished I had the money and time to live there and really get to explore it, so many fascinating looking streets, buildings and historical nuggets. A few days scratching the surface will have to suffice. Checked out Hamley's on Regent Street, not the biggest toy-store in the world, but feels like it. Scored an Iggle Piggle toy for Louis, which he seems chuffed with, ate some great scoff at Pret a Manger then headed off to the British Museum. Saw Cleopatra's Sarcophagus and the famous Anglo-Saxon Sutton Hoo helmet, Japanese Netsuke amongst other things. But it was all pretty damn tiring by this stage as the heat is still uncomfortable for England, and carting around the baby car, baby and various bags wore us all out. Fish and chips for tea, and everyone in bed by 8pm! Tired but happy. And a bit jet-lagged still.
Fancy the National Portrait Gallery tomorrow. Orc's nest maybe.

Been to quiet lately. Blame it all to FF14 online. But this is the thing I've been doing for a change from 40K.

Today I finished off an IG tank, a Forge World Shadowsword.

I was planning to have it ready for the recent Apocalypse game, but because I realised I couldn't attend, I took things a little slower and just got it done today. I think this is the biggest (non-scenery) kit I have painted.

Today I finished modelling my Gorkonaut/Morkonaut.

I like the little shrine on the back of the Shadowsword. It's cute!

The GorkaMorkanaut looks like a whopper. I was tempted to pick one up whilst on holidays here but maybe later. Looks cool though. Was it easy to build/magnetize for both versions? (I'm assuming you didn't buy one each).

@miguelsan- I've always thought it would be fun to do some sort of starship battle game with Yamato models. Be cheap and quick to put together.
@Prim- The ground trembles........... Nice, nice bit of kit. Very ambitious.
@Aux- Oh yeah Mr. Shadowsword, how about this! Man, those things are built to be Squatified.......must fight the temptation........
And I am off, off for a month back home. Family, old friends, good beer, open spaces, and if rumor is true a nice FLGS to replace the former most excellent FLGS. Must fight.......
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
