What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Today I went up to visit Voss with my Black Legion models. We played a couple of games. There was lots of learning of rules, but enjoyable games, both. Thanks to Voss.
This evening I put as much work as possible into my Napoleonics. They'll look haggard on Monday (weather permitting), but battle permissible.

A little late (due to a busted modem and then being a lazy so and so), but here are some minis I finished in September.
Zulu and British command.

Some of the Natal Native Contingent. (South African volunteers fighting for the Brits).

British Royal Artillery.

Zulus.

And some shots of my Zulu army.

Last night I rode out to my grandmother's place with my wife after doing some maintenance on the bicycle. Once I returned I did a bit of base painting and then prepared for today.
@ Prim: Nicely done. It is amazing how you can belt out two whole medium sized armies under a month with great presentation.

Ah, the army shots represent a lot more work. Only the first 5 pics are from September.job wrote:@ Prim: Nicely done. It is amazing how you can belt out two whole medium sized armies under a month with great presentation.

Awesome! Great to see Rorkes Drift completed and looking so good. Well done.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Had a most productive rainy Monday holiday. Sculpted some belts, straps, boots, goggles and boobs on the Diggachicks. While I was waiting for the putty to set, I made a few more press-mold casts of scrap metal bitz and painted the boots on a Fianna. I have not painted in months and really should warm up on something easier than a Rackham figure that is nothing but tiny, tiny buckles and delicate detail.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

@jr - that's looking rather nice, that is. I must say, the knight kit is one of GWs better offerings these past few years.
This evening I finished the cankerworm. Not a huge fan of the mini, but hey ho. Just need to tidy up the base and he's done.

I'm drawn to bizarro minis more and more in recent times, so - metal millipede, with fetching skull-head, that's a winner in my book. Very nicely painted too..
I tried out the Unotelly service tonight, as previously discussed, and recommended by MiJ, a means of watching UK and other countries' TV via a very easy method. Using it (with iplayer) just on the ipad for now on an 8 day trial basis. Works fine, my lousy bandwidth permitting. Impressed enough, so I'll probably sign up for Unotelly instead of the audible talking book service I currently pay for and don't really need anything like as much. Brilliant stuff..
