What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
A major Shaltari incursion has taken over my painting desk:
Spray cans and paint pots are being scrambled to contain them.

I watched Fury this morning. It is a good movie, but it certainly isn't for the faint of heart. It is grim and brutal. Lots of real Shermans and even the Tiger from Bovington are featured. Part of me wants to paint up some WWII tanks now and part of me feels a bit guilty to think about the horrors of the reality.
(Granted the movie isn't for anyone who wants a depiction of actual combat.)
@Auxryn: Very nice. BTW how many points are you shooting for?

Started watching The Box of Delights again and The Hobbit. I'm thinking of giving the second film a go again now the scars have healed in preparation for the final film. I'm hoping it will be good as I really enjoyed the first one.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I will probably wait for DVD for Fury.. will be trying to see Hobbit in the cinema though, even though in general I've been a bit disappointed in the series.
Yesterday I had the interview I mentioned, and this morning was offered the job. So, from January I'll be in full time employment at a private High School.
Phew. Much relieved, and very chuffed to say goodbye to eikaiwa land, hopefully for good, touch wood. Also, this means freedom from 20th Dec to 7th Jan. Nice.
Thanks a lot, everybody who suggested ideas and even lined up teaching gigs to tie me over, I really appreciate the help I received from the forum dwellers.

@Lovejoy - excellent news! Will you be doing ALT work at the private school, or will they hook you up with a special licence (the difference being, if you have a licence, you can legally teach a class by yourself, without a J-teacher. The school can also give you a full 55hr+ week workload, like muggins here
) Regardless, I'm sure you're suitably chuffed to have secured gainful full time employment. Have yourself a celebratory beverage

Re: What did you do today.
@Job - I sprung for the "Dave's 1500pt Shaltari army" deal, so I have a little over 1500 pts right now. It's a strider army though, and I want to play around with some skimmers, so I'll probably pick up another 500pts of starter set soon enough. Also terrain, templates, and cards. Then I'll probably pick up a few bits and bobs that I want to try. The collection will probably peak around 3000 points. Then, good lord willing and the creek don't rise, I'll pick up a second army, maybe Scourge.
Re: What did you do today.
@Auxryn: That sounds ambitious and sure to make ToD happy. I'll be adding bits and bobs myself. I'll try to push for 1500 next to keep up with you guys.
