Hello

Post by Mikball » Fri Dec 05, 2014 4:03 am

Hi there.

Just thought I'd drop in to introduce myself.

Addicted to Warhammer, have a decent sized Skaven army and working on some 40K CSM at the moment. Also, absolutely in love with Space Hulk.

Would like to come along on to Joshin on the 21st if that's still going ahead.

Anyhow, would be great to meet some other players in/around the Nagoya area.

Welcome to NagoyaHammer Mikball.

Our next gaming event is on the 21st at Zengo.

To get to the event, go to the Zengo Meitetsu station just outside Nagoya, go out of the only exit and turn left. In front of you is a bus stop and beyond that a UFJ bank. On the left side of the bank building is a side door. Go in the side door and head up to the fourth floor. You'll find us somewhere around there.

Feel free to jump into any discussions, or start some of your own if you want.

Good to have you on board.

Regards,
P.

Welcome to the forums mate.

Feel free to jump in on any of the active threads that seem interesting.
You're also most welcome to come to the Games meeting on the 21st. This month it will held at a community centre near Zengo station in Toyoake city (just outside Nagoya) NOT Joshin. Do you need directions? There's a link and info out there somewhere.

As for games, there are quite a few Warhammer Fantasy players in our group, although things have been a bit quiet of late. Perhaps the 'End Times' releases will rekindle people's interest. 40K is as popular here as almost everywhere else. A few of us have copies of Space Hulk too, so it shouldn't be too hard to find opponents.

Welcome to the forum MikBall.

We certainly welcome another Warhammer and 40k player. I personally play Dwarves, CSM and DA. If you want to play some 40k on the 21st, a number of us are collecting for a game. You could also line up an individual Warhammer or 40k game certainly.

Welcome to the forums, mate :) You should have no probs finding an opponent for any of those games in Nagoya. Speaking personally, I play mono-nurgle CSM, and every flavour of Eldar (crafty, corsair-y and dark) for 40k, and also I have space hulk, too. I don't play fantasy (although I did many years ago, and skaven were my army of choice back then) but I've recently started reading the end times novels, and must confess to finding the whole big-change shenanigans quite intriguing.

I also, unfortunately, live in a town called Tsu, in Mie prefecture, so I rarely venture up to Nagoya. But, I do enjoy hanging around the forums talking a load of old toot and occasionally saying something useful :) Also, I do always make an effort to get up to the NagoyaHammer event in May, so you'll likely see me then.

Anyway - make yourself at home, an by all means start a thread or two of your own, and feel free to chip into any ongoing conversation. The "what did you do today" thread is where we mostly talk about random stuff, and is probly a good place to get a feel for the forum. By all means join us there :)

Cheers guys, nice to meet you.

I'd love to come along on the 21st, and getting to Toyoake won't be a problem.

At this stage, can't say I'll have enough Chaos Space Marines completed by then, but if someone is keen to battle my skaven, I would be more than happy to oblige. Hoping to have at least 1500pts of CSM done and painted by the new year, and look forward to sending them forth.

Either way, very keen to check things out and meet some new players. Book me in.

Hey mate, welcome :)

We play a lot of games in this here small corner of the gaming world. As has been said, Warhammer 40k is popular, but there is a lot of love for fantasy, too - dwarves, elves(the end times is bring them all together so I thought I'd do the same lol), skaven, orcs, lizardmen, goblin smurfs ;) - a lot of races are represented! As Mike said, maybe the new Endtimes will light a spark to get us all right back into it!

Hopefully you will be able to make it to next years Nagoya Hammer event in May. Even if you don't have all those CSM painted up by then, you can still join in the fun!

Hi Mikball,

To quote John McClane: "Welcome to the party, pal!"

Are you in Nagoya or nearby? I'm a space Hulk Fan (still have my 1st edition along with Deathwing and Genestealer), also have Ogres for WFB, Sisters of Battle for 40k and assorted other stuff (Blood Bowl, Bolt Action, X-Wing, etc.).

I won't be at the next Joshin, but hopefully see you around in the near future!

Excellent.

Will definitely aim to be at the 2015 Nagoya Hammer. Chaos Space Marines will definitely be ready by then and hope to give them a crack against some of you guys before then.

I do live in Nagoya, Meitou ku if anyone else is nearby.

Regarding the event on the 21st of this month, what is the best way to organise a game? I saw there's a direct thread so should I try and tee something up over there?

Cheers for the replies. Looking forward to meeting you
