Re: The Event With No Name RULES
Old models terminator models or not it is a tournament and... deep breath ... I think the only fair thing is to re-base.... but at the same time I would like to ask about Ork Bikes they do not come with a base so will they be played as baseless of do they need a base??
How about models on square bases.
BTW most of the stuff I am complaining about is stuff that has come up in games I have played with My best friend Sam... nothing directed to any of you lot...

Re: The Event With No Name RULES
Well the rule book says that minis should be mounted on the bases they came with.

I have heard that... but how can you base something that did not come with a base...

You can't. That would be my honest answer, not a sarcastic one.

Re: The Event With No Name RULES
feel sorry for any one with the Forge world Greater Daemons... those bases are huge.... What about Scratch built stuff... I love it and I will be playing with it how will the rules swing on that stuff... I am a bit worried about that really...

Re: The Event With No Name RULES
I would imagine that scratchbuilt stuff goes on the same size base as the thing it's supposed to be.

Re: The Event With No Name RULES
Well they are pretty much the exact size of the RT edition ones. I would have no problem playing against them but I can't speak for others.

Re: The Event With No Name RULES
If your models came with a base, put them on it. If they didnt you dont have to, its your choice. If you have scratch built something that should have a base, put them on the base of the appropriate size, if they shouldnt then dont.
So long as your home made stuff is about the correct size then fair enough.
As for the Termie bases.
Small bases - Pros Deepstrike is less risky if I land near terrain. Since I use Teleport homers this isnt usually an issue anyway.
Big bases - Pros you get an extra 1/2 an inch more charge range when disembarking from a Land Raider.
The models are not on the wrong sized bases. The decision to put termies on larger bases is more because the models got broader and bigger rather than anything else. At no point did GW make a rule that they had to be on a certain sized base.
