Via PS3, I went to thr unotelly button for Update IP, entered my email address and password, IP updated, and then iplayer launched. But neither of the shows I tried would actually play. Ah well, thought I might have escaped but am clearly in the same boat. I'll email them too, tomorrow.
4OD was fine though. Second Series of Toast of London recommended!

BBC is working just fine now.

The Unotelly bloke gave me new DNS addresses to try, but that didn't do it.
Deleted BBC iplayer, installed it again. Worked like a charm. Not sure if it was just this, or the combination of the two, but I can watch MasterChef again :)

@Spevna, I'll try that myself if it hasn't righted itself next attempt. Ipad version fine as people were noting. Need my xmas beeb telly, even if it's mostly rubbish!
@Agp, beautiful terrain and models. The LOTR SBG makes me sad - it was a decent game and real shame it wasn't more played and popular, also I would have liked to have collected a few more bits for it. But games live or die by the number of players too often. Hopefully people do it down your way.
@JR, sounds like you had to struggle with the Sedition War stuff, I'm sure it'll be worth the effort.

The LotR game was ok as a skirmish system (I never played the later big battle version), but I found that having powerful heroes messed the system up a lot. Watching the fellowship gank the Balrog in exchange for losing Merry did nothing to endear their rules to me. On a small scale, without uber powered characters, the game was good.

I think I played LOTR just 3 or 4 times, and it was always fun. Probably knowing the fellowship heroes and their abilities well would make them pretty unstoppable, synergy between Gimli and Legolas sticking together for example, Aragorn's free might point. They actually took a bit of a beating in the games I played with and against them but we probably didn't exploit them to their best.
Still have the rules, Fellowship models and a fair number of orcs, and I believe ToD adopted your bit box stuff, so maybe it's not the last we'll see of the game.
Also, my Legends of the High Seas rulebook has a less hero centric take on the rules, which I'll get to playing one of these...years.

Finished my Shaltari Tarantulas this morning.

I'm pretty happy with how my paint scheme is turning out. My goal for the time being is to improve my edge highlighting.

The next step will be to work on the gates.

I'm liking those shaltari. DZC was the other system I was considering during the summer (beaten out by Infinity, by a narrow margin.) I do like the shaltari stuff a lot, though. Nice PJ, too - they'll look ace on the table, I'm sure :)

today it would appear that iplayer is working again. We didnt do owt at this end, so it must be the beeb, unless Spev's pestering made unotelly do something technical behind the scenes. Anyway - once again our house rings to the happy sounds of Chuggington and Tree Fu Tom.

Today I have a honking cold (RSV, to be precise. Respiratory Somethinsomething Virus. It's like a cold, but more drawn out and tedious.) Happily, my wife and kids are about 3 days ahead of me on the infection curve, so every day I get to see how much worse I'm going to get :( Also, this afternoon I had the pleasure of three and a half straight hours of parent-student-teacher meetings. I get to do the same again tomorrow morning, too.

Think of those meetings as a way to spread the infection and gain favour with Father Nurgle. One step closer to apotheosis and daemonhood.
