I thought folks weren't interested in planetfall...

Anyway, today I finished my archon, at last:

She's on a WIP base at the mo, but I quite like the flow of things so far.

Depends which folks you are talking about. :D

The mini is coming along nicely, but the texture of her legs looks a bit rough. Cellulite maybe?

4 hours in Ichinomiya today listening to exhaustive explanations of the housing contract, and deciding insurance options. Then putting address info and stamps on a stack of housing documents. Bit tedious and tiring to be honest, but it's another necessary hoop jumped through.

Watched the last Wolf Hall (very good series) and whilst watching episodes of The Strain, based my citi-def, greenstuffing those irritating slotta base gaps and finally putting some gravel effect on the bases, which is all I usually do to make a kind of urban city feel for my Dredd minis. Used the excess putty to do some basing work on my Dark Judges (their spirit forms would never stand upright without it) Also matt varnished a whole lot of Dredd minis to prevent chipping.

Ta. The issue with the legs (and neck/chest) is pitting in the metal itself, not the paint. Actually, what you see is the result after a layer of milliput wash. It was pretty darn bad pitting. Anyway, nowt to be downe about it at this point. Too many other things needing painting. Besides, I started replaying skyrim the other day (madness, I know) and so my time is at even more of a premium than usual. Incidentally, I'm totally enjoying revisiting skyrim again. I'm doing it on the PC this time, rather than ps3 as before, and it's soooo much prettier. I'm doing all the stuff I didn't do before, like join the companions and be a werewolf and whatnot. I was a khajiit first time around, and did the whole sneaky thing, whereas this time it's two handed warhammers all the way. Plus, I got all the add on dlc, so there's so much extra stuff it's like a new game. Awesome sauce :) just wish I had more time to play it :(

Well yesterday was a sunny and calm day in Kobe so I managed to lay down a layer of textured paint on some small MDF buildings I got from Impudent Mortal last year. They are not as detailed as others especially GW's but quite cheap and the lack of skulls is refreshing.

rain rain go away.... actually not problem. Got in some sculpting. Did some cobbling on MY Naghammer secret project. Made udon noodles with my daughter. Not a bad day so far.
@MIJ- those must have been some pits. I used sort of a millitput "dab and scrape" technique to smooth some rough spots where a wash was just not doing it.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I spent the weekend gaming. Two games of Black Powder and a game of Dust Tactics with Colonel Voss yesterday and two games of 40K today. I tried out some new tricks with my Raven Guard that gave me a draw and a win over Pikey's space elves. :)

The table is 6' by 4'6 with enough space for even someone of my stature to mlve around it without needing to squeeze past things. A definite step up from my last place. After reading some online advice, I built the table up to a little over 3' tall, about the height of a kitchen worktop. It's easier on the back and better for standing at for a long time.
