Today I did a little painting on my last unit for Naghammer. I must confess, I'm dragging ass on these guys - the mojo is gone*, but hey ho, sometimes ya just gotta push on through. Plenty of time to get em finished. That said, I also need to make an army transport case so's I can actually, y'know, carry em to the game (my usual battlefoam case insert made of foamboard). Should be doable, but still, I'm starting to feel the time pressure. The likelihood of painted infinity minis is, btw, exactly zero. Not gonna happen. Sucks, but there it is. I'll bring em, and all, but they'll be bare metal. Gomen.

In other news, I spent an ungodly amount of money on the raging heroes kickstarter. Happily, most of it was jehan-reznor's :D (which he has promised to pay me back at naghammer, right, j-r?)

I did absolutely nothing on the hobby front.
"I'll be dropping in once and a while." quote unquote. Sounds like "once and a while" means "every other day" more or less. Lucky sod.
I had a productive last day of spring break, back to work tomorrow. With any luck, it will not rain and I can get my secret project primed and start painting them. Getting some of the "stage two" secret figures just about to the half-way done point. Might even actually get them ready by Naghammer.
I decided with the kid due in 6 months and the decision to move in with my in-laws, the days I can and drop by a bar and drop 2k yen are disappearing rapidly. :) Got gulp the beer while it is possible.

@ Dekana: Tokyo? Well, I hope we don't lose you glitz and glamour of the big city, but good luck with the job interview. Good to hear you avoided temptation by GW.

@ Adm. Badruck: He's looking good.

Yesterday, I got up early and went with the wife to meet the doctors down in the Minato-ku Ryosai Senta, make a reservation for our child's expected delivery date and also surrender 200,000 yen in cash to the hospital.

That taken care of, I had soup curry for lunch with the wife and then swung by Osu for some grass for the base of the Heldrake and walked home past Nagoya Castle and took in the last of the cherry blossoms. I also walked near 23 Craft Beers and I was horribly tempted but decided against it.

When I got home, I attached the grass to the base and did some odd and end painting, including some terminators sitting on my table.

Today I worked and when I got back I worked on the Sicarn Battle Tank. I worked on magnetizing the sponson options.

Greetings from Germany where I have, thus far, managed to not mention the war!
Unfortunately no time for anything of interest on this business trip, which consisted of 1 day in the UK and a day and a half here before coming back to Japan. I guess the silver lining is the trip isn't long enough to get over the jet-lag, so I should be fine when I get back to Japan...right?
So many games, so little time....

Huh? someone hacked my account! it wasn't me :P (just kidding)

Made an inquisitor from Valkir parts, anvil industries, max mini and forgot the name of the company of the halberd. Used one of the dream forge heads yo make the IMEF reaper figure look like one of the bad guys from killzone 2

This morning i decided to go through my Eldar and tally up exactly what I have.

I have close to a 2,500 point army of unpainted OOP metal minis!

Maugan Ra
Avatar of Khaine (metal human sized one)

10 scorpions (with Exarch)
7 Harlequins

10 Dire Avengers (with Exarch)
10 Dire Avengers (with Exarch)
10 Rangeers
10 Guardians with weapon platform
10 Gaurdians with weapon platform

10 Swooping Hawks (with Exarch)
10 Swooping Hawks (with Exarch)
10 Warp Spiders (with Exarch)

10 Dark Reapers (with Exarch)
1 Wraithlord
3 Support weapons

Almost all of those are the original JG sculpts (the guardians are original RT Space Elves).

Now that is 2,500 of footsloggers, with no extra abilities or weapons added to the cost. God knows what it will come out as once other things have been added!

I think I have decided to shelve them until I'm older, and paint them as a retirement project as the thought of doing it now scares me shitless !

Today I undercoated a few minis and got some more work done on my Raven Guard vehicles. Just a couple more details to paint in and they are done. :D

I finished putting together one full infantry platoon of 50 guardsmen plus platoon command squad. That's about the halfway point of my troops. The weapons are magnetized, and I plan on color coding them to make it obvious what they're supposed to be (red for flamers, orange for meltas, etc). The sergeants have chainswords (though I'll probably play them as power axes).

I might run these girls as veterans in chimeras until I get the last shipment from Raging Heroes (with my heavy weapon squads and the models I planned to use for veterans and stormtroopers).
