What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Tonight I played He-Man teaches English with my son and then chipped away at a few minis. A Prussian commander, a Roman Catholic Priest, a Puritan Priest, A Leveler, A diorama of a man having his leg operated on and Farmer Maggot with his dogs. Yeah, I know bit of a mixed bunch and totally crazy but hey got to pick back up where I left off.
I also enjoyed part 1 of an English Civil War documentary made a few years back. Very enjoyable and insightful. Going to make a cup of tea and watch a few of the Lord of the Rings Appendices before drifting off. Night all, happy painting.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

@Ashmie: Nicely done.
@J-R: I like the ride and especially the conversions for the rider.
Tonight I beat Blucher and the Prussians for the 3rd time on the Napoleon TW demo. Great fun but did you know they actually stopped selling the game on Steam? Well I'm going to have to hunt for a copy.
I also managed to add some paint to the bikers.

Yeah, I could procrastinate all day long if it would save me from doing more camo.kojibear wrote:That must be why subconsciously I am procrastinating getting stuck in on my next few units of Paras. Get the tanks done first, that may be the way to go.Primarch wrote:Bl***y camo is a pain in the bum.

This afternoon I was able to sneak 45 minutes of hobby time in. Since I didn't feel up to tackling more camo, I instead started assembling more minis for my Secret Project. Between the terrain and mini piles, it's all starting to take shape nicely and I am hoping to get some alpha testing on the rules in before the end of the month.

Got my two practice Stunties pretty much finished. Started working on the face of a third. I think that I may have managed to make the right and left eyes to actually look like they belong on the same head.. A sculpting first for me. Though I may find he's mutated when I give him a second look tonight. After school, I started chopping and gluing some illustration board to make some new Necro terrain to go with that king's ransom of bulkheads Prim gave me. Nothing fancy yet. Just a couple little platforms to get warmed up. I think I'll try and rig up some smokestacks too.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Well, I got all of the camouflage done on my (current) batch of SS minis and started on some of their gear. I alsodid some work on some half-tracks for the grenadiers to ride in. One of them had been painted previously, but I have decided to redo it with more shading and weathering.

Skyyyyyriiiiiiim.
I've been playing a lot of skyrim of late. While I certainly can't say I'm getting bored of it, I'm starting to be able to imagine a time when I won't want to play it. Not yet, not yet, but some day...

Re: What did you do today.
I've spent the last week off work with chickenpox (that's not how retro gaming should work
), but on the plus side, I've managed to get a load of 40k terrain painted for my games club; We've now got enough to put a defensive trench network covering an entire 6'4 board, with three trench lines and plenty of strongpoints and bastions.

I hope you feel better soon. Congratulations on your terrain collection though.AndrewGPaul wrote:I've spent the last week off work with chickenpox (that's not how retro gaming should work), but on the plus side, I've managed to get a load of 40k terrain painted for my games club; We've now got enough to put a defensive trench network covering an entire 6'4 board, with three trench lines and plenty of strongpoints and bastions.
