I finished up my UCM gladius heavy tanks. The sun was so hot yesterday that it softened the resin when I set them outside to top coat. This allowed me to adjust the one poorly-glued tank that had his guns pointed wildly into the air, but now his guns are a little bent and funny looking.

Today the sun is gone and rain has come, so I haven't been able to base coat my tiny tiny infantry men, visible in the background of the picture.

Taking advantage of the relative coolness to do some sculpting. Dabbing away on the Diggachicks. I have about 10 figures in progress, Diggas, gun-crew and Stunties. Only one is nearly (nearly!) done. And it's one of the ones I'm not that happy with......
Watching a sumo right now. Anyone else dig sumo? These days most of the drama is in trying to guess who Hakuho will choose to win the basho though. Just have to watch match by match and sort of filter out the rigged ones. Hakuho fell down for Tochiozan yesterday. If the other Mongolians co-operate, we might see a Japanese wrestler win the championship for the first time in 10 years.

Well, having no PC to distract me, I was able to be productive* this evening.
I got my BA vehicles finished off bar some decals and weathering. The BA infantry is done and dusted. I got my WotR archers based and done. My HoR warband is well underway and I was even able to spend some time working on a figure for one of my secret projects.

*by my definition, not my wife's.

I shifted gears on the painting front and dug up some Naps to paint. I added color to the Middle Guard.

And on the computer front, I defeated Blucher to seize Berlin, then marched the Grande Army back south to recapture Prague from the Austrians and their Swedish allies, and finally dealt with a Prussian uprising and a second Battle of Berlin.

gaaaah. sick as a dog today. voice status: almost gone. 4 classes per day this week, plus parent interviews all afternoon, topped with speech practice all lunchtime*, and then I get to come home and finish uni assignments and fill out paperwork to attend classes next term. Not helped by A) uni professor whose stamp I need being completely immune to all forms of attempted communication (he's a bloody american! You'd think he could at least email back or something! It's not like I'm writing in a weirdy foreign language or owt!) and B) kind hearted and helpful people at work saying things like "hey, boyle-sensei, you sound like crap. You should go home early." This to the guy who is so frickin busy he's coming in at 7:45 and leaving when the security alarm starts going off at 7pm without actually sitting down at his desk all day. Every day...

Gaaah. I need a vacation.

*Y'know, I heard that originally people used to actually eat at lunchtime, and that's why it's called, y'know, lunchtime. Not like nowadays, when it's just another teaching period when you do speech coaching in a spare classroom  Didn't actually eat today until past 8pm :(

Got in a bit of productive sculpting in the other day and managed to get some pics. The Diggachicks in their current state are up in my gallery at Yaktribe.

@JH- oh man, you read my mind! I saw those kits and thought, "Yeah, yeah! Admech-bots!" They are quite a bit bigger than the real GW model though, it looks like from the picture.

Finished my UCM basic infantry guys. They even have squad markings.

This morning, the cat walked all over them and managed to snap off one guy at the knees, but I put him back together.

@Auxryn - Have you thought about adding some tiny patches of flock/static grass to the bases? It would probably help the infantry stand out a bit more and add a dash of colour to them.

Today I applied some decals to a truck and an armoured car, then did some work on building some more infantry and a Bren carrier for my planned British 11th Armoured Division.
