Two words you don't commonly hear together!

Reminds me of this country classic from the old Lucasarts game 'Full Throttle': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN_SxiP6RZ0

"The population is greatly decreased
And now the odds are greatly increased
That I may someday get a chance to kiss your lips
I thank the Lord each day for the apocalypse

Folks are mostly disfigured or dead
But sugar, I won't let it go to my head
My mama's face has dripped down into the dirt
But I'm still chasing chitlins, whiskey and skirt"

@Kojibear - sickeningly good, that.
@Ys - I remember the game, loved the main rawk theme too. Think it was The Jackals? A song that rocked in its cheesy 80s90s biker-bar kind of idiom.

@ Koji: Wow, you were good before, but you just leveled up with those to figures. Dido to Lovejoys comments.

@Lovejoy and Job - Thanks guys. Much appreciated. Still using the tried and true base, wash, multiple highlighting technique and metal paints. Maybe some wet blending and non metallics will be tried someday.

The "Gone Jackals" did the main theme, I still have it on my ipod! :lol:

Watched a DVD last night I bought recently called "Days of Glory" (original title: Indigènes), a french WW2 movie about North African soldiers in WW2. Kind of a 'Saving Private Ryan' vibe, but they're not trying to save anyone, just prove themselves the equal of the white French troops. Not a bad film.

Also noticed on the recent Warlord Newsletter about the end of their world-wide campaign that my Senegalese Party boys were included in the photos at the bottom!

After a frankly rubbish week, this evening I managed to finish assembling my Beckoners, Mr Tannen and Mr Graves. That's the whole crew assembled, so I just need to fill em and then I can get back to painting showgirls... :roll:

Also watched 3 eps of Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Still good, in an anime kinda way*. Satisfying plot and original setting, which is good.

* by which I mean that there's a lot of Very!Intense!Emotion!Being!Expressed!!! And every problem is solved by Just!Trying!Harder! It's good, really it is, I could just do with all the stary-eyes and "nyaaaaaaaargh"s being reigned in a twitch.
