Re: Shachi Bowl 2016
Gosh. It looks like they've decided to keep BB pretty much exactly as it was and just release a whole bunch of updated minis and a few fancier templates.
I dunno what everyone else thinks, but tentatively speaking I think this may actually be the best thing they could've possibly done. Sure, it'll be pricey as hell as a buy-in, but at least new players can show off their fancy schmancy new pitches and tokens and whatnot.
overall though, a tentative thumbs up from me on this one.

Re: Shachi Bowl 2016
In principle I agree, but if it costs less than $150 US I'll be surprised. I do like that plastic range ruler though?me_in_japan wrote:Gosh. It looks like they've decided to keep BB pretty much exactly as it was and just release a whole bunch of updated minis and a few fancier templates.

Re: Shachi Bowl 2016
I do wonder if the pitch will be the same size as the old one, as if the minis are on 32mm bases, surely the whole thing will be scaled up? And the templates, too. Bit like that new AdMech game that's got ToD weeping into his painting water. Same as before, but biggah. At least with BB folks can still use their old minis, and just not cross the streams with pitches/templates.

List of confirmed what-we-know about the new release:
http://www.thenaf.net/2016/05/warhammerfest-roundup/
Hm. It... pains me to say it with how I'm feeling about Epic, but all that sounds like basically good stuff.

Re: Shachi Bowl 2016
Well unless the price is whackadoodle I'll buy one. The last bullet on that link was:
No information yet on price points, although the starter set has been kept deliberately light to ensure the price point is much lower than some other recent releases.
So I'm thinking cheaper than deathwatch, which is a relief...

Re: Shachi Bowl 2016
GW Not changing the rules is the biggest and best surprise. The models look great. I hope they manage to retain the silliness that makes BB what it is.
I'll put this out there again, but does anyone have a goblin team I could borrow for the event?

Sounds brilliant. Great game, excited for the new production.
