I came to the sort of unfortunate realization* that I could use the Dark Vengeance cultists both as mind slaves in ASC and as some sort of post-apocalyptic warband in TNT (or any other such game of your choice) on account of their gas-masky nature. HMMMM!

*In the sense that it may well lead to me spending some money.

I caved in and also bought the new the burning of Meister Proper or something :P

Finally settled in my new room and most of the stuff has been put where it should be i found some miniatures i forgot i had.
So they will be perfect for the inquisitor band i am working on and others can be used as cultists, arbiters or Necromunda Gangs.

It's a great game. I like to think of it as the best bits of Fantasy Battle. Pick your favourite fantasy minis and play. I'm hoping to get some games in soon as the local groups here play. Also they now sell the Frostgrave book and fan fiction in Waterstones in the graphic novel section along with Bolt Action. Very bizarre.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Interesting that Waterstones now do gaming books, even if its only a small selection. Frostgrave is certainly a very user-friendly skirmish game. The ability to use any minis you want is a massive selling point, I reckon. Looking forward to seeing WIP pics of your stuff, Ash :)

Frostgrave and Bolt Action are published by Osprey, a part of Bloomsbury. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Today I wandered round Kamimaezu and bought some new paint, a couple of new (cheap) brushes and two mdf paint racks. (about 2000 yen each from the Vallejo section of the Creepy Doll storetm if anyone is interested). After returning home, I undercoated a pile of minis, assembled the paint racks and read through the 2nd edition of Armies of Germany for Bolt Action.

Very nice work all around on that marine there, jus. Love the blue, the shading on the red, the subdued gold tone. Good stuff!

Today I continued puttering around with my Napoleonics, getting most of the work done on a unit of hussars and a couple pieces of artillery. While cursing over the miles (well, scale miles - we are talking 6mm miniatures here) of gold braid on the former, I caught myself thinking that these bozos look like drum majors (I've actually seen marching bands with dolman jackets, come to think of it), before realizing that of course it is the converse that is true.

Holy....Jus is still alive!

Nice Smurf! As I have a few Ultramarines to do in the near future, mind if I ask which Blue you used?

This evening I went to watch Star Trek: Beyond. As a long standing Trekkie, I can honestly say it wasn't the worst entry to the franchise. Far from the best though. Even if you limit it to the new movies, Into Darkness was a far superior movie. Benefits Cumberland was really good in ST:ID, but Idris Elba just grinds his way through as the villain in Beyond. Interestingly ST: Beyond was written by Simon Pegg (Scotty in the film). Not a bad movie, but far from a great one.

Blimey charlie, I thought I saw a post there from Jus. Must've drunk more'n I thought. Nice marine, though. Lovely reds in the belt, there.

@Prim - you liked ST: Into D? I must confess that despite really enjoying the first of the reboots, I found ST:ID rather dull in comparison. I particularly didnt care for BC's Khan. Just not macho enough. He plays a mighty fine calculating madman (whether good or bad) but he just doesnt do the raaaaaaahr that Khan needed. Haven't seen the new one, although I do rate Idris Elba as an actor. Just my two yen, mind you. Take or leave as ye like.

Recently I've been watching The Expanse. It's vera good, and I'd recommend it. Also started and finished season 3 of The Strain. Still enjoying it, and it has escalated nicely, too. Well worth a watch.
