Just schedule SA on a Malifaux day and I can probably spot you one. Malifaux is a cool game with a low buy-in and rules for free on line as well, for what it's worth! :D

Haven't been able to base coat my spaceships due to rain and work.
By the way, my school is now hiring. I made a post on the off topic forum.

Hopefully the weather clears soon. Until then, video games.

Possibly not the most interesting update, but over the past week or so I've been prepping my new Frostgrave warband for painting. No idea why - really I should be painting Eldar for Naghammer, but heyho, the muse doth whisper "frossssssstgrraaaaaave" in mine lugs, so whachama gonna do?

These are all Raging Heroes minis, except the apprentice (nuddy snake* lady) who was a freebie for some KS I backed. Maybe the Figone one? Anyway, those there are my witch and her trusty crew of elves. Paint to follow...

*The one with one snake. And I mean she's nude. Not the snake. Well, obviously the snake's nude, but that's hardly a descriptor, is it?

oh, and the bases are from Micro Arts Studio. They're verra nice, I reckon.

I put together some Chaos Cultists (Advanced Space Crusade / Shadow War - nice and chunky, dead easy to put together) and so Will o' the Wisps (Malifaux - beautiful but odd, hella fiddly) that arrived from Ring Tail today. The latter probably won't be done in time to try them out on Sunday, but oh well. Also opened up a new bottle of plastic glue and it's much stinkier than the last one, so there's that.

Hey me too. I'm going to use these for GoMo. Wonderfully twisted, scruffy and ragged. I have not put paint to plastic since last winter. Felt good. I have lost some of my painting mojo over the years. Luckly these guys are supposed to look scabby, dusty and scratched up.

Just curious about the new Shadow War game, do Space Marines only have scout teams, or are there rules for tactical marines etc, too?

Yesterday I built a train station and did some work on terrain for NH17.

I think normal marines are mainly scouts. Grey knights have full-on marines though.

That's right. "marine" kill teams are actually scouts (scout sergeant, scout, initiate, special-weapon-scout). They can get regular marines (well, apothecaries, Veterans, Terminators, Death Watch) as special operatives. A special operative is like a BB star player - you "pay" 1 Promethium Cache (which is acquired as post-mission loot) for each specialist you hire for a single game. Since the long-term goal of a campaign is to accumulate 15 Promethium Caches, there's a trade-off between a one-off power up for your gang and working towards a long-term win.

GKs, btw, are made up of a Justicar, regular GKs, and GK gunners. Their specialists are Purifier (CC specialist), Interceptor (can teleport), Terminator, and Paladin (CC terminator)

Thanks guys. It is a good way for GW to start moving all those scout boxes they have. I think they already put out a board game with scouts as the stars, too, the one with the genestealers?
