Today I got most of the hard work done on my last 3 devastators. Metallics and unit markings and they'll be good to go.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Re: What did you do today.
4/9 Sold! Not too bad. I have now recovered all my costs for this painting lark and am officially in the 'black'. However, until I sell the others I'm only making about ¥200 an hour
That and I just plowed all the dosh I've made straight back into more models. D'oh!
Just in case you were wondering, my latest customer was a Brit who bought two Russian models. My price point must be ok if someone who lives in the U.K. Figures it's cheaper to buy ready painted tanks from Japan than Warlord's own pre-painted stuff.
In actual doing stuff, I started painting a 1/12 scale Boba Fett figure for my local Model shop's next paint contest. I'm also planning on doing a 1/35 scale Tiger. It has 199 separate track links!

Re: What did you do today.
199 links? Is one track longer than the other or are you missing a piece? I like making models as much as, if not more than, the next guy, but that's some masochistic level of assembly you're attempting. Good luck with that.Mike the Pike wrote:4/9 Sold! Not too bad. Congratulations on 'making it as a pro-painter', whatever that means.

Re: What did you do today.
nice work, Pikey, and indeed, if someone is willing to pay shipping halfway around the world, your work is clearly doing summat right.
As for me, this evening I finished Dying Light:The Following. While the ending was merely OK (although I appreciate that it was a proper ending, not some "to be continued" crap), the gameplay itself is one of the finest things I've done in years. Very much recommended to anybody who enjoys a) Driving around the countryside, b) customising skills and weapons or c) killing zombies (or, d) driving around the countryside in a customised electrified, mine-laying, flame-throwering buggy, killing zombies).
I've also been working on basing Kbear's BB team, and should have some pics tomorrow, hopefully, as well as some Dropfleet space stations at some point soon.

Re: What did you do today.
No pics at the moment (until I decide where to host 'em that's not Photobucket, that is
), but I've been painting foul servants of Chaos. Three of us are going down to Warhammer World for some Shadow War: Armageddon and Age of Sigmar Skirmish at the end of the month, so I've been painting the Tzeentchian baddies from Silver Tower for AoS; done the Pink, Blue and Brimstone Horrors and the beastmen, now got the acolytes, the Gautn Summoner and some Flamers on the painting table.
Horrors are great fun to paint - takes no time at all and they look cracking.
I also painted the Chaos Marines from Dark Vengeance; I bought them two editions and five years ago, so it's about time.

Re: What did you do today.
pbucket have changed their TOS, I believe. They want to charge users to host pics there which will be accessed from external sites. Like this one, for example.

Re: What did you do today.
Having finished up all the marines I've got at the moment, I ordered a couple hab pods from Sarissa to start building up a bit of 40K terrain.
Edit: I also used my accumulated points at Ring Tail to get a box of 3 monopose marines for the cost of shipping, because why not bulk out my devastator squad to a full ten dudes?

Haven't been painting much lately, but ran up a few Hive Fleet Kraken test minis for Advanced Space Crusade

So many games, so little time....
