Some VERY interesting images in there, but I'm still finding my feet with Version 1. Hopefully they won't change too much and this is more of a reorganization than a new set of rules.
Still, some VERY interesting images in there.

And just when my credit card thought it could catch it's breath.

There were references to Joan of Arc, Achilles and Beowulf, along with medieval images, some kind of hairy fantasy beast, and samurai. Quite a lot to ponder there, I'd like to see what happens.
Not that I have played V1 yet despite owning it.

Interesting, so more of a core rulebook and then sourcebook by sourcebook approach. A pity the old battleboards won't be compatible.
So many games, so little time....
Building a pile of shame since 1983

True, but I don't see any reason why we would need to change immediately. Most of us only have Danes or Vikings anyway.
...most of us...

Does this mean I should hold off on getting the ‘Aetius and Arthur’ supplement, I wonder? I’ve been doing some work on my Romano-British (28 minis so far...) and they are about ready to take to the table.

It's probably not the most long term of investments.

According to the explanation on the Gripping Beast website ‘Aetius and Arthur’ will remain part of the range after Saga 2 appears. It looks like the intention is to produce a freestanding rule book so people don’t have to fork out for a load of stuff about Vikings or the Crusades which they don’t want. Fair enough, I guess...

That's good.
And a link for anyone else who is interested.
