Volk's between Yabacho and Kamimaezu
I just gotta say I visited Volk's for the first time today and it is like hobby heaven.
Basically any painting/modeling product you could ask for they have some variant of. I saw @The Other Dave recommend it on some thread a while back and I was interested because he said you could get Valleho paints. I didn't realize this meant you can get ANY Valleho paint at Volk's. On top of that, they're cheaper than I've seen anywhere else (290 yen per) and they are currently campaign中, were if you really wanna batten down on paints you can get 40 bottles for 10,000 yen.
They also have a bunch of basing materials and sick models. They unfortunately don't really carry any models for games, just ones made to be painted and displayed, but I was looking to dip my toes in that anyways recently and was turned off by the delivery prices to Japan. I was particularly happy to see they have BigChildCreative's Black Sailors line and also Kimera Miniatures.
I will definitely be going back when I have cash to burn, and would highly recommend checking it out to anyone who is keen on the painting side of the hobby.
P.S. If you're googlemaps'ing it, you have to look up ボークス.

Yeah, it’s certainly a gateway into the realm of the very nerdy in Japan and the one place you can pick up Vallejo paints and a large assortment of brushes and hobby equipment. Being transferred back to Sakae was great for my hobby.
And you know my solution to your cash needs.

I picked up the brush aid stuff there on TOD's osusume, it's definitely helping my brushes survive my complete lack of knowing what the hell I'm doing.

Volks is a great shop. Paints, tools, creepy dolls that will murder you in your sleep if you dare buy one and take it home, Yep, Volks has it all.
Seriously though, those dolls will straight up slit your throat without a second thought.

I just went down there today and it was a pretty cool store. They had a ton of variety of hobby tools and some other random stuff like basing materials and those rollers from green stuff world. I also ran into this cosplay event on the way there so that was interesting.

Thiiiis. Also, all the big-busted vinyl dolls you will ever need.
Srsly, great place for paints and brushes (I really completely honestly very strongly recommend the Bunseido "Woody Fit" series, despite their snicker-worthy name) but I always feel a touch apologetic going in to the place.
Feel free to call me Dave!
