I'll bring my Underworlds stuff too, I'll sneak a game in if I can, if I can't that's still a few more teams, dice sets, tokens etc. for folks to borrow.

Sorry, disregard the dice request. I found a cheap copy of shadespire and now I have dice, tokens, and a board...The Other Dave wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 1:05 pmAbsolutely, if there's one thing I have lots of it's dice.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 12:07 pmWonderful, can I borrow some dice, still have to get my ownThe Other Dave wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 11:59 pm

Nice! You can never have too many warbands either, and Garrek's Reavers especially are still quite strong.

Ach. Well, card images off the warhammer underworlds website are a thing, especially as you're a legal owner of the cards in some form. I know nobody around here would give you grief for it at any rate.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 1:45 pmUnfortunately all the cards are in Japanese...The Other Dave wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 1:41 pmNice! @ Karantu & co.: I’ve been doing some listening to podcasts and on YouTube. Even with the Epic-izing the rules, it will take time, set up and what not. I’d like to suggest-request a few things.
Firstly, (mostly a request) would you PM the basic formations to us without the book? ( aka me)
Secondly, it seems deck building is a thing and can take up time. I thought it might be good to elect a captain with access to the cards for both sides to build the deck before the day. I thought Auxryn mentioned before playing it. I’m not sure about Tallgeese, but it has the added effect of splitting the experience. Having an experienced hand on a team can be a great help in speeding up things. What do you (guys) think?
Thirdly, maybe we should break up into teams at this point? On one hand, from what I know of your collections Tau vs Chaos might be possible. However, the other option is a forces of Chaos rumble with Orcs and Chaos. What do you think?
Last consideration might be number of Lords of War as Apocalypse is a little more fun with a little balance of the titanic stuff. I’ll be bringing one lord of war. (Well I have another but it isn’t punted up.)
My two cents. Looking forward to it and thanks in advance.

The detachments are just the 40k formations without mandatory HQ slots. However, it is beneficial to have at least one character(doesn't need to be an HQ) per detachment as they become that detachment's warlord and each warlord in your army increases your Command Asset draw limit.job wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 7:13 am@ Karantu & co.: I’ve been doing some listening to podcasts and on YouTube. Deck building shouldn't take too long if we draft the generic cards and let each team pick freely from their faction specific cards.
In terms of teams, I could play either Tau or CSM so I don't mind picking whichever is more thematic. If you guys don't mind could you tell me what faction you plan on playing?
The only LoW that I do own is a Stormsurge but it is still a numbers so a horde army could still pose a threat to a LoW. But I do agree that it would be more fun to try and balance out the number of LoWs for thematic reasons more than balance reasons.
