I wonder if that Bladeborn game is derived from that Khorne Bloodbound arena game that came out when Age of Sigmar was new?

Looks like a good Blood Bowl player

The obligatory "lady wood elf with a bow" model has been previewed for Cursed City:

I mean, it's a perfectly nice model, very cool even, but "lady wood elf with a bow" is some very well-tread ground, you know?

I'm not sure how it could be. GW hasn't sculpted an elf with anything more than three toes in contact with the ground in a very long time.

You're right though, very nice model, but an old trope. It's a very dynamic looking mini, you get the sprinting, leaping, firing backwards vibe from it very clearly. Lots of different textures to paint in the clothing. I'm sure some talented painters will do marvelous things with it. But compared to the gravedigger guy we saw when they announced the game, this is just another jumpy-elf with bow*. When I think back to GW's earlier boxed games from the days of yore, this mini is on a whole different level, maybe GW is just spoiling us with too many high quality figures these days.

*Yes, I know I'm a cynic. :D

Y’know, not to be Mr Swooshy and all, but I rather like it. I’m a huge fan of dynamism in sculpts, and this minis works very well in that regard. It also has excellent visual flow, which is another thing I appreciate when done well. One thing is, though, assuming this new game is set in the age of sigmar, how come she’s got feet? I thought the wood elves in AoS had hooves, like a Lorwyn elf? They did in Underworlds, anyway. Or are Skaeth’s lot not wood elves?

Also,

Don't get me wrong, I like it - it's just that after Blackstone worked so hard to explore parts of the 40K setting we hadn't seen before, "wood elf with bow" seems kind of vanilla. Even just making her a Kurnothi satyr like the Underworlds warband would have been a cool step!

Speaking of which, AFAIK, the satyr elves in Underworlds are "Kurnothi," a different and as-yet-unexplored new thing in the AoS setting, probably different from wood elves in the same way snake ladies are different from witch elves? Wood elves with feet are definitely still a thing though.

Total: 128 kits, averaging about 1.7 per month.

Now, some of those are for other armies like Wolves and Angels, so you could maybe count them separately**.

In that same period, Eldar got:
Farseer
Spiritseer
Wraithknight
Crimson Hunters
Hemlock Wraithfighter
Wraithblade
Wraithguard
Illic Nightspear
Farseer on Jetbike
Windrider Squadron
Autarch
Eldrad Ulthran
Yvraine
Yncarne
Visarch
Spiritseer
Howling Banshee
Jain Zar
Total: 18 kits, an average of 0.25 per month.

So yeah, it is easy to see why there is this perception of GW doing nothing except marines***.

*Genestealer Cults are a separate army.
**I'm confident that M_i_J views all marines as being the same thing, so will count them all together.
***Personally I'd prefer plastic 30K era stuff anyway, so I am also in the 'too many (Primaris) marines' camp.

Hmm I thought so too MIJ san! But this suggests (thankfully) that wood elves in the traditional sense may make a return. They say she's a "Kurnothi" exiled from her tribe. Good news as I wasn't the biggest fan of the hybrid elf direction GW was taking.

Very exciting stuff!
