@Matt - Simple but really well executed! Gotta love his tactical sandbag too.

After getting some motivation to paint from December's gameday I managed to paint some proxy Ork vehicles that were sitting around gathering dust (not literally, It took me about 10 minutes to dig them out of the cases in my wardrobe so luckily there wasn't any dust involved.)

The first one is a Dakka Jet. After completing it and having a good look at it I feel like it doesn't have enough Dakka... Next time I need to extend the barrels at least since the shootas on it should be closer to autocannons. The base model is a Japanese Zero Fighter with some "minor" modifications. I'm pretty happy with how the custom flyer base turned out too.

The second vehicle is a supposed to be something along the lines of a Gunwagon/Kannonwagon/Big Trakk. The main gun is a little scrawny by 40k standards but I like to imagine that it's the overclocked fire rate that makes it deadly. The base model is a Elefant tank destroyer which I rolled around in some Ork bits.

Got up this morning and finished the bases on these, making them my first finished models for 2022:

@Prim- love those apes. And the mammoth is really cool Who doesn't love mammoths and dinosaurs?
Getting my painting/sculpting mojo going after a bit of a break. Cobbled these together for the "Steam Vents of the Undercity" scenario for Stargrave. I'm going to try and rig up some of those LED tea light + cotton ball smoke/explosion markers one of these days.

Finished up some AI Nightwings for Jye this morning:

As always, yellow is hard, but Eldar racing stripes are always good fun to paint up. Phoenix bombers next, then I'll get on the Kunnin' Krew for Underworlds!

@All - Nice work everyone.

I have been a bit lax in posting stuff recently. My apologies.

For This Is Not A Test, a Party-bot.

And a Sacrificial Lamb, basically a convict with a remotely detonated bomb strapped to his back.

For Bolt Action some American Airborne for Normandy.

And for any arachnophobes on the forum...
A giant spider. The base is an old CD, to give you some idea of the scale.

Lovely work folks, I especially like that looted tank and the big spider.

Awesome work on the Eldar, Dave! Very glad you did that for me, I wouldn't want to do that much yellow myself

I'm still in the throes of FFXIV addiction but the ridiculous queue times did let me start on assembling a certain big smug dragon...

Looking good, Primarch!

I also finished up these Phoenixes:

And got the Kunnin' Krew all primed and mostly pre-shaded so I can get started in on them - the plan is to let myself get the ogre pirate and rivals deck once I finish up both the Harrowdeep warbands. I only have a few distraction-free weeks until the Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel comes out, so I have to make the most of it!

I can't scroll past Primarch's giant spider fast enough.

Now that most of my imperial guard army is painted, I'm ready to jump into a new project.
My guard is lacking any sort of melee ability, so I'm thinking of adding some space marine soup. Probably 3 squads of vanguard vets and a smash captain? I don't know space marines too well, but it is working out nicely in my TTS tests.
They'd be Blood Ravens because that's what I want to paint, even though it's absolutely not the strongest chapter for what I want to do, lol.

The list looks something like this at the moment.
I might sub out the named character for a generic jump pack captain and the chaplain for a librarian.
I'm still playing around with it on TTS, but if it keeps working out I'll probably pick up my first vanguard vet squad this weekend.
You can't spell slaughter without laughter.

VVs are awesome, just watch out for a points jump creeping up on them. What chapter traits are you running with?
