Player wise there are currently:
Mike,
Matt,
Miguel,
Tom,
Myself,
Tanya,
Ian,
John,
Jon,
and potentially 2 more guys who want to play. (from Mike).
We can manage 5 Players and 1 DM reasonably at Tanya and Ian's place. I wouldn't really want to DM a game of more than 6.

Good points all. I'd still rather have less campaigns, longer sessions, but that's my selfishness as a player and wanting a narrative to unfold before me. As always, though, it depends alot on Tanya and Ian since we're their guests, unless people want to offer their places.

And yeah, 6 players is a tough group to GM for, nevermind more than that!

I'm imagine gamers flooding out of broken games, clinging to life rafts and screaming, tears running into the rain as they tear at each other for space in another game. This is awesome.

But even if a game collapses, I'm sure another would take its place soon, with the number of games we've got brewing. I know I have a few others I'd love to run.

Should we try this out starting, say, in July?

Let's wait till we get Tanya's and Ian's opinions first, unless we're offering our own places to game. I guess if you're offering your own place it doesnt matter what they say!

I cant do longer sessions, I get enough grief from the missus as it is. Having less campaigns means that some people cant DM the games they want to. If people have to stand aside, it should be their choice. Personally I dont NEED to run a game. I am happy to play sometimes too, it depends on the game/system. Since I also have chances to play Warhammer and other wargames I wouldn't be coming to every game, freeing up more space for other players.

This. My Japanese group plays from 10/11-5ish, and really dont ever go later. It works out pretty well because we start early, finish early, and with a long healthy break for lunch in the middle, we don't tire ourselves out. Now that I think about it, stopping at or around 7ish would be best for me, since I have to get up early on Mondays, and I would like to keep my Sunday night open in case the woman deems it appropriate for me to go out. Playing from 3-11 is already a marathon as it is, and I'm getting too old to go much longer than that. (Oh, these aching bones  )

Shorter sessions might not be such a bad idea. A fixed time limit would def keep me focused on the game. Not I think gaming Is Serious Business, but if we all know that we're finishing at 2pm/7pm, we'll hopefully make sure we get the most out of our time.

Well, it seems like the am/pm game thing is popular, so let's try it out; my main concern is there might be a lot of no shows for the morning game, but our group is pretty dedicated so you never know!

One thing, Ian goes on Pilgramages almost every Sunday until at least 2 pm, so he would definitely not be in any morning games, but he's up for any afternoon games.

For the most part I wouldn't mind if you played here in the mornings and afternoons, although there are times I actually have something else to do; also if we have too many players, it would be better if some games were played somewhere else, that way I wouldn't be taking up a space in every game (I mean, I could just hang out in the kitchen while you guys played, but that would be kind of weird!).

I'd volunteer my place to play Evangelion.... finding time is a whole other issue! Well, since it was okay for Tanya and Ian, let's give it a shot!

We should get Jon on here so he knows whats going on with the scheduling. I don't want to start changing our schedules around without letting him know how it might affect his game.

How should we decide what gets played? Everyone vote on 1 or 2 games they want to play? The ones that vote for the game would have first dibs on getting in if there are a lot of people wanting to play. The GMs can each make a thread for their game as a "trailer," as they do in the Japanese circles :)
