Good to see folks are pricking up their ears at this. I'm only backing for a few minis, but tbh the real appeal is the long-term nature of the thing. It's minis agnostic with free rules online. If we do end up wanting a game, we can all cobble together what we we have an give 'er a whirl any time.

Maybe December, assuming there's a games day that month?

Ps to anyone on the fence, my offer still stands - I'll print stuff for you if you want to back for stls. There's 28hrs or so to go on the KS, but I've backed so the backer kit'll be open for a couple weeks after that if you change your mind later on.

Just gave the rules a read last weekend. Oh man, if I did not have a table full of Frostgrave terrain in the works, another pile of Bangarang blocks pushed off to the side to make room for it and a half-painted Turnip 28 regiment in a box somewhere, I would be soooooo all over this! I could cobble together an okay proxy (though probably rather comical) unit, but this game would really deserve the full-on Blanchitsu kit-bash grimdark treatment. Oh, and proper terrain! You'd need a real gameboard. MIJ, you still have that desert board with the canyons? Time to convert that to a hellscape no-man's land!

MIJ, you should take a look at this. Scroll down a bit past the jaw-dropping Mordheim town and the cool little Ork ruin. A modular trench board would be so amazing. It would work for 40K in a pinch no problem too!

oh, a multi level board would be the dream. I actually have a 3-part trench board here at home already (I just happened to do it years ago for 40k. It's all desert themed, but it should be fine for TC in a pinch.) I'm still super tempted to grotty it all up and add duckboards and mud, though. But I dont need another project! I dont, I tells yer!

The TC kickstarter released their stls yesterday, so I've been puttering about a bit getting them ready to print. Next week being christmas, though, I've also been a bit too busy making mince pies and putting up the tree to get anything meaningful done. Still, plenty of time over the holidays (he said. There was not, in fact, plenty of time /MorganFreeman)

I'm super interested in the flexibility of TC and how well it pairs with printing. Because it's miniature agnostic I've really been inspired to work on digital kitbashing. @Konrad - you should sooooooooo look into that. I know you're quite the master with a pair of clippers and some greenstuff, but I reckon if you had 10 minutes practice and some stls you could bang out some great stuff. The learning curve for digital kitbashing is almost exactly the same as for irl kitbashing. Head/arm swaps are easy, chopping bits off is easy if they stick out, a bit finicky if they dont, and anything more than that gets progressively more fiddly. The beauty of the digital stuff is that you can undo mistakes, or resize parts to fit better, or flip left/right limbs and suchlike. I haven't even touched actual sculpting yet, but I'm super enjoying stuff like building dead eldar out of live eldar bits to use as decoration for my dark eldar beastmaster minis' bases and suchlike. There's soooo much free stuff out there that you could never spend a penny and still be able to build some fantastic stuff. All very fun (and distracting. Just noticed it's 1:40am. I should probably stop now...)

Anyway - I'm very much feeling trench crusade-y these days, and that's not even looking at the game itself. (which to be fair, looks interesting too.) I'm technically playing Black Grail, but I could easily make a Heretic warband, and should probably build one or two "good guy" warbands to fight em with. The best part is - although I did spent about 30bucks on the KS, I didnt need to, and for sure any non-grail warbands I build will be free. There aint no better price for a wargame than free.

Man it is sooo tempting. There is just so much kitbash conversion grimdark madness there it is pretty hard to pass on. And the terrain possibilities…..man I may just ask you to print me up a warbands worth to add to my pile of shame.

Say the word, my good man. Only caveat is that I'll need stl files, but digital kitbashing is fun, and I reckon you'd be very good at it. I've been undercoating a bunch of stuff today. Loads of dark Eldar and also my Black Grail warband for TC. Looking forward to getting some actual colour on em over the next few days.

I stumbled across this battle report:

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=tr ... ORM=WRVORC

It looks great !

Here is another battle report for Trench Crusade. I post this because although these are not my favourite content creators, the production values of the video and paint jobs are excellent and give a clear view of what this game looks like.

I am really interested now!

I'll need to check that out when I get a minute. Truth be told, despite never having actually played it, I'm still really intetested in this game. They just published their world map today, and it's luvverly. I do like a good map 👍
