Hi! MiJ here with his patented Admiral Badruck Disclaimer!

*hemhem*

Please ignore the good Admiral's incomprehensible lack of punctuation. He's a nice bloke and a dab hand at making Mexican food. He can also play 40k reasonably well (that's reasonably well, Badruck. Don't get carried away...). However, the one thing he cannot do is spell or use punctuation. No-one has ever worked out why this is. We've tried. Oh lor' how we've tried...

*disclaimer over* :D

Mostly it come from typing in stuff on the old Iphone. But even more than that I just can be bothered to make it all nice and proper. I would not be an ork if I did.

Hey all!
This is Dylan, originally hailing from Kentucky, currently located in the deep inaka of Fukui. I'm one of the new 40k players, along with Dom, Corey, and Michael from Shiga. It may be easier just to think of me as the 4th Shiga boy. I've already had the pleasure of meeting Badruck and getting a brief game in.
I have a basis in Warmachine/Hordes, where I play Cygnar and Mercs, though the models were too much to carry overseas. I'd love to get a game in via Vassal as soon as I get my home internet set up.

As odd as it is for someone to START with Warmahordes and then jump to 40k, I'm doing it, mainly out of desire to be able to paint and assemble plastic models.
I'm starting Space Wolves, a custom chapter called the Wendigo Descendants, with a bone and red paint-sceme. Fluff-wise, they are a splinter faction that regularly eats the remains of their enemies on the battlefield and occasionally uses ritual cannibalism. They are thus a dirty secret of the Sons of Russ and hidden well from the Ordo Hereticus. Should be fun!

Hope to play some of you in the future!

Hello Dylan,
Welcome, I also recently started, don't have much yet but I'll also be playing a custom made space marine chapter.
It would be nice to play sometime.

Welcome to the boards, Dylan :)

much as I hate the idea of another SM player round here (joking! :D ), I reckon that your idea for a native american based SW is pretty funky. As I said in your other post, I'm keen to see what your ideas are. im pretty into conversion and theming armies n stuff like that myself, so if you have any questions about the artsy side of things, just fire away. (tbh, most folks on here are that way inclined, with the exception of Prim, who I think its fair to say is more of a gamer than a painter. Not that his painting is bad, its just that no one here has half as many armies as he does.)

Anyway, welcome to the forum - hopefully we'll be able to see you in Nagoya some time soon. (on which note: there is a games event being held at Joshin Kids' land in Kamimaezu this Sunday (and every last-sunday-of-the-month, actually), and this month Prim (ably assisted by me) will be doing some demo games for new guys. You can bring an army, or use one of ours. We intend to bring a few selections along, so if you can make it, please come :)

Welcome to the forum.

As M_i_J says, I will be running some intro 40k games for anyone who wants in next sunday here in Nagoya. (500 point limit) I'll have some of my Space Wolves with me if you want to give them a try.

Hope to see you (and everyone else) there.

Greetings, fellow plastic-pushers and cardboard crack junkies.

I've only just removed my black cloak of mourning for the IPDBIL and crossed that vile bog to these 'ere parts.

Splitting time between Nagoya and Mie, with two kids, I don't get much time for gaming these days. Still, I'm doing my best to get back into it.

My true love and soulmate is Blood Bowl, courtesy of me_in_japan, who got me hooked and then promptly stopped playing as soon as I learned the rules properly ;)
But alas, Blood Bowl is very time consuming, and time is one thing I don't have.

I also have a love for Magic the Gathering but no longer have the budget. What I do still have is a bookcase of cards Magically Gathering dust. If anyone would like to play using old but fun decks, please let me know.

Finally, I'm looking for other games which are fun and have some depth but can be played in 60-90 mins.

Yoroshiku!
