I am only now discovering the usefullness of the airbrush tool in photoshop. Aside from pulling off, it handles much like an actual airbrush. (except with a dead handy "undo" option. If only a real airbrush had one o those...)

Now, should I do this on the side of my ravagers? Should I do it in turquoise? Blue? Red? Rose Pink?

Also: Would it be over-bling to have airbrushed fire on my ships? Ive been watching tutorials on youtube, and Im all airbrushed up...

or maybe...flames AND lightning AND blades

AND skulls!

I figured that since I had the day free today I would get some painting done. Now I hate batch painting, so instead I worked on a bunch of minis for different armies rather than on a squad of something.

First up, an Alpha Legionaire. Sorry the picture is a bit dark. I had this guy lying around and wanted a change from my regular paint schemes so I thought I would give the Dark Blue and Green Alpha Legion scheme a shot.



Next up is a Blood Claw that was part of a batch I started earlier. I did all the gold on his chest piece and shin as well as the little accessories today.

The third model I did today was done from scratch. A Catachan sergeant.



Model number 4 is the first of 5 bodyguards for Lion El'Jonson, painted in the pre-heresy Dark Angels colours.

Finally, two marines of unknown origin. Who are they and why have I painted them? You'll all find out in due time.



On a final note, I didnt use a tripod to take any of these pictures. I simply stood my camera on the table. Not as fancy, but gets the job done. I just wish I had better lighting.

If only there was a way you could 'print' onto a model you'd be golden . As it stands, I think Swooshies and Fire and Lightning might be a bit much.
The swooshies you did look good, but adding too much extra will detract from the overall model I think. Stick to swooshies on the raiders and do something different on the ravagers. Or use the swooshies for the wyches and give the warriors lightning effects.
