I'm sure that the screen writers will work in the limitations of Ben Afleck and just write Batman into a south Bostonian with a tough childhood and a washed up director. It will be seamless.

Could be worse, they could have picked Jim Carey

"
"washed up director" That Oscar is only a year old or so isn't it? I know Hollywood is pretty relentless, but give the guy a break. ;) Honestly, the only thing I've ever seen him in is "Good Will Hunting".
I don't watch enough movies these days to even speculate on who would be a good Batman. I never read Justice League, so I have no feel for how the characters fit. When I think "Batman and Superman" I just think of Frank Miller's "Dark Knight, Returns" with Batman kicking Superman's butt.
" You're beginning to get the idea, Clark. We could have changed the world…now…look at us…I've become a political liability…and…you…you're a joke. I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want…you to remember…the one man who beat you."
Maybe in another 20 years after the DC heros have all had movies they will get around to it. By then Christian Bale will be 60 and he can be Batman again!

One of my favourite comics. They did an animated version a couple years ago that kicks the hell out of every live action film.

How did that fly under my radar? Must see. Rotten Tomatos gives it 100%!

This would have been a better choice

They should make a movie about Marshal Law

I had a few issues of Marshall Law. Judge Dredd meets ehhhhh, a bunch of really messed up super/"hero"/soldier/psychopaths. If I remember the whole "superhero" thing was like part of the mental brainwashing the sinister government/corporations used to condition their cadres of elite soldiers. I should try and track some of those down. They were actually pretty good once you get past all the black leather and zippers.

@ Yellowstreak Thanks for telling me about the Dark Knight animation! I got a chance to watch it last week. Most excellent! A very faithful adaption.
