Got 8 or so Squat Orks decaled and based and ready to seal. Painted a bit on my secret weapon. It nears 80% complete. Soon, soon the Galaxy will burn! This weekend I went to the kid's center with my kids. While they played table tennis, I got a deck of cards and some blocks and started working out this Old West Gunslinger skirmish idea I had the other day playing Strange Aeons with the Pike's most excellent Old West style buildings. Still in the hmmmmm, stages of musing. I must have looked utterly insane, sitting there with a look of intense concentration, drawing cards and pushing blocks around.

I like the cards too keep all the counts as under control and clear to your teammates however, If those sanguinary guard are going to count as terminators they ought to be at least mounted on terminator bases. :D

Today I unpacked everything and tidied everything away from the weekend.
I love that feeling after a heavy weekend of gaming, the next day when you finally manage to get all the minis, dice, books and boxes back in their rightful place on the shelf/cupboard. It has a feeling of job well done and thank god I still have all this stuff and got to use it.
Feeling totally burnt out and nearly lost my voice but happy to boot.

Advanced Heroquest has got me thinking about next years dungeon. Some players found it a bit quick, so I'm thinking to build a 3D modular dungeon for the next one. Complete with doors, walls and themed rooms. :geek:
Heck it's 10 but I think I'll paint for an hour while the inspiration lasts.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

WorldWorks do some nice stuff if you want to go with printable terrain. I have a few bits you might want to have a gander at.

What's the rule in 40k? That you can use a larger base than the one supplied, but not smaller?

It used to be a rule that models had to be based on the bases they were supplied with. Now the rulebook says that it assumes models to be based on the bases they are supplied with, but should you have unusually based minis or there is no base with the model, that you can use bases from a similarly sized model if you want.

So no, there is nothing stopping you from using different base sizes anymore. You could theoretically deepstrike an entire unit of terminators onto the head of a pin if you really wanted to (and you could make them all balance properly).
