That is unfortunate given your army choice. Thats like me saying I hate Aquilae.
Good luck!

All the ovals :( if I don't pick them out in some way then the models look a bit boring. They're the only real spot-colour opportunity on the guns and platforms.

I agree with Andrew as well about which are gems and which are just armor bumps.

Today I did the various gun barrels on the support weaps. Upon reflection, purplish pink is perhaps not the best colour for "D" weapons, as I have quite a lot of em in the army. On the plus side, I found that the aquamarine I use for the V weaps looks quite nice, so I shall be appropriating that for all the other "D" weapons in the army instead.

I am also very peeved with how the paint is coming off the metal models (some are resin). The metal ones are practically paint repellent, and the slightest stickiness or scuff takes it right off. This is a major issue when airbrushing, as there's a lot o masking involved. Still, tis fixable, and I have a day off tomorrow :)

Well then, you've only got yourself to blame. :)

The gun platforms in particular have plenty of flat areas for some freehand - probably less fiddly (fewer stages, anyway) than gems. Or even just a fade from one colour to another.

Today, I finished these:

139 Space Marines, six tanks, two (huge) aircraft and two titans. 3,950 points of the Emperor's mercy.

All the titans' weapons are magnetised so I can swap them around. I still need to add iconography and banners to the titans.

@AGP - Very cool. The flame effects look awesome.

Yes, I did miss 'em from the depictions in the Impreial Armour vol 5-7 book. :) On the other hand, they're a massive pain to paint.

Very nice work there. Flames may be a pita, but they do look rather snazzy. Out of interest, is that a thunder hawk transport? Only, it's way bigger than the (what I assume is a) thunderhawk beside it.
