What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
@Col. Voss - Indeed, take care and we will all send you good wishes mate.
Re: What did you do today.
Today I didn't have a lot of time for painting, but my IG squad just needs basing and they are done. I have a couple of IG Chimeras on my desk that I'd like to get some paint on tomorrow. It's always better to play with painted models and they have been sitting there with only primer on for a looooonnnngg time now.

Re: What did you do today.
no painting today, but I did buy tickets for the family trip to scotland next summer. 44man, and could have been a good deal worse (we went with KLM. BA and JAL wanted 75 for the same thing!) The vexing thing is we tried really hard and saved up enough air miles (with JAL) to get a return flight with em. But...the cost of the other 3 tickets on JAL was still more than 4 tickets on KLM. Madness, I tell you. Madness. The problem was the connection from London/Paris to Glasgow. They wanted 5man PER PERSON for those flights. I figure they can shove their connecting flights up their bums. I'm keeping my miles and taking the family to Hawaii in 2015. That's the plan, indeedy yes it is...

Today I spent the rainy portions of the day working on some Panzer III F tanks that I've had for sometime.
@ Col. Voss: Best of luck with the check up. Do take it easy and get better soon.

I decided not to work on my Chimeras today, too much work. Instead I'm going to do more infantry. I'll never get through all my IG minis in my lifetime, but I'm going to paint what I can this afternoon and then pack my guard away for tomorrow's game.

Good luck Prim.
Who are the brave Guard going up against?
Re: What did you do today.
It's shaping up to be a great weekend. A picnic in the park with my wife and son and BEER.
A roleplay game with my local group. We tried a new space bug hunt RPG we hadn't tried before called 3:16. 40k fans should love it. Or fans of Aliens and Starship Troopers.
Tomorrow I'm having a game of Black Powder and Strange Aeons at Kuwana. It's one of those lucky double whammy weekends for gaming.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Re: What did you do today.
Thanks to Dungeonlord for hosting some games in Kuwana! A nice, laid back venue. Unfortunately no time for Strange Aeons, but Ashmie and I faced off with our Napoleonics for Black Powder, his Prussians against my French. t was a near run thing, and an incredibly slow played thing to boot, as it had been the better part of a year since our last game and we essentially were having to learn from scratch again. We also seemed to get into a lot of interesting rules situations which were new to us, but we learned a lot and had a blast. In the end I occupied the crossroads at the centre of the poxy Prussian town, which had been our vague victory goal, but we had shot each other to ribbons, each lost half of our units, and neither of us were sitting pretty with a decisive outcome, so we settled on a draw. Cheers Ash for a great game!
I decided that I probably need more infantry as my units were a bit on the small side. But although I love the period, Naps are a grind to paint so I'm not sure I'll be adding more to them for now.
The BP rules have me thinking that its high time I played its sister game Hail Caesar.
