I only have time to read one forum apart from this one, and that other is CMON. Its all well and good if people want to make up their own house rules for stuff. Even if they run a website with thousands of members, theyre still just house rules. I could make em up if I wanted to, but it wouldnt mean there were warlock titans in 40k...

C'mon Forge World - get the finger out!

But Warlock Titans are the BIG titans. Even the Imperials (who get all the love) are only up to the medium sizes. There is no way FW will produce anything like that anytime soon.

Yeah, seriously; the Warlock / Phantom stands literally head and shoulders over a Warlord, when you factor the wings in.

Aw heck, I'll take a picture. My camera's at work, so this is a crappy blurry keitai pic, but you get the general idea.

@ MIJ the Apoc rules tell you to make stuff up... if Adepta-con is going to accept the BOLS rules that is good enough for me and it should be good enough for you man...

The other thing is, if you're playing with Titans at 40k scale, you need at least 10 feet between the models to make it anything like worthwhile. The Apocalypse rules dont work when you get to that size of a game. Titans should not begin the battle so close that the Princeps can be seen making rude gestures inside the cockpit.
I guess thats why we have Epic.

It doesn't matter since MIJ doesnt have a Warlock Titan (at least, not one that I am aware of).

Its true, anyone can make up house rules, just look at the 2011 Nagoyahammer section. I'm all for that provided the rules are reasonably sane and balanced and they are there to let you play with cool models. The BOLS stuff is no more legit than the stuff I made up for NH2011, but thats not a reason not to use it if you do have a Warlock Titan kicking around the house.

:D I have no problems with house rules, and in particular i think Prim has a very good angle one em. Most everything he comes up with seems fair, fun, and cool. (Apart from that bloodclaw-mobile. Dat was almost as broken as the BA codex...)

And aye, sadly, I'm of the opinion that if you want titans, you should really be playing epic. I love the models, but I'm slooooooowly coming round to the idea that you dont need to game with models to justify buying and painting them. F'r example, I do like some of the fantasy models, but I cant face painting a whole army of em. I also dont have time to play fantasy. So, thus far I havent bought any fantasy models. FW Titans fall into the same category, kinda (altho i did buy a revenant, but that was with the intent of gaming with it). I'm kinda considering the possibility of buying one or two fantasy models just to paint. Of course, this line of reasoning can be verrrrra dangerous, so Im gonna make sure I dont have any other ongoing projects when I do eventually buy painting-for-paintings-sake models. Thus, it wont be for a while. I still have plenty of Cryx, Eldar, Corax, Malifaux, and (ha!) Tau to get done.

Oh well, onwards and upwards. Ive been up until 3am the past two nights painting, btw. I just aint finished enough yet to post pictures. I didm however, finish the egregore, btw. It looks...tolerable, i guess.
