In my case.
1. A lack of interest in 40K right now.
2. I'm busy on the Saturday, so I want to spend the Sunday with my wife.
3. Trying to save money.
4. Competitive gaming isn't really my thing at the best of times.

Facing a bit of a block with my Dragoons for some reason, I painted up a quick unit of Spearmen from Lake-town in 10mm.

My Imperial Guard just received a horrendous doing at the hands of the Eldar; Purge The Alien at 1,000 points, I lost by 5 VPs to 1. The sole VP earned by the Guard came when the Commissar punched the Autarch to death with his power fist.

It was like being 14 again. In fact, some of the Guardsmen were the very same ones that me_in_japan used to slaughter with his Eldar. :)

Thanks MiJ for listening today and your good advice. I'll keep fighting the good fight for now. I've heard the first 2 years can be hell so I live in hope to have more inclusion in the family unit.
I was actually aloud to change a nappie today so all hope is not lost. Slow work is needed I think.
Having another day in the doghouse after arguing about meaningless politics we could do without.
Do I A: argue inanely with her,
B: make a you tube video about Elves,
C: barter or
D: Let the vintage Sci-Fi bonanza continue
Happy Sunday finally.

@Ashmie, I and I'm sure everyone else hopes you can get through this period and sort things out. If it was me, I would just keep your head down for a bit, keep the gaming low key (or jack it in for a bit), win some brownie points. It sounds like you have had a tough time, but I'm certain your wife has, and has had a lot on her plate too. Give it time in other words. it's not much help, but there it is.

I've been painting a Realm Of Battle board. Four tiles down, last two are WIP.

That's the weirdest, and simultaneously the most GW-ish, detail about those boards. Like, subterranean pools of skulls just waiting to pour forth through cracks in the ground are a common thing in the world.
