 I had honestly never considered that. Now, I can't imagine it any other way.

dammit.
Exactly.
Did some pimpin' on the DiggaWaggon. May try some of those fancy weathering pigments to try and get it to look dusty, not muddy. Sorted through my bitz box, setting aside parts for my Digga Shamma. Skulls!

Yesterday I went up to see Voss. We played two games of FoW, which we both very fun and entertaining. The first game I took after grinding my way through a town and a final that was a blaze of bazooka fire. The second game Voss won as we both pushed hard on our right flanks, but his mortars did a number on my anti-tank guns and my infantry were chewed up as they went through the town again.

Afterwards, I went out on a walk with my wife and had sushi for dinner. Then came home to watch a mystery movie on TV and add some paint to 222s and rhino. Then, fell asleep suddenly and woke up late.

Thanks MiJ for a great day of 40k. Cracking game. Very cautious. It would have been fun to play on but I think you secured a good victory.
Great fry up too.

And many thanks to you, Ser Ash of Ultramar. Yeah, I would love to say my dark Eldar swooshed their way to victory, but that'd be a lie. They trundled, slowly and rather unexcitingly to win by getting first blood on some unlucky scouts and by sending the hellions back to snuggle up to our home objective. Ash's marines played well, and only lost really due to being a bit outmanoeuvred (which is semi inevitable against dark Eldar.) He neutralised my Incubi like a boss, mind you. Took out their transport early on and left em hoofing across the table doing a whole heap o not very much for the rest of the game.

Overall, a good game, and it was great to have Ash over at my new place, finally. Hopefully we can make it more of a habit from now on :)

also many thanks for Vikings. I reckon I shall enjoy that over the next few weeks with a beverage or two. *raises glass in salute*

Watched most of Indy 3 (Last Crusade) on Blu-Ray, as my wife and I are working our way through them and she hadn't seen them before. Still a lot of fun. We watched the previous 2 last week, but not sure if I can bring myself to watch Crystal Skull again although it's in the box set.
My wife commented that the Indy music was a bit reminiscent of Star Wars. We then youtubed John Williams out of curiosity and laughed when we realised that his Harry Potter, Superman and ET music is all basically a bit reminiscent of Indy. Great soundtracks for sure, but that bloke's been getting away with murder!
Louis was a good lad and we watched In the Night Garden together, which seemed to interest and startle him in equal measure. It is a very, very peculiar kids show, akin to a cheese nightmare.
Hobby wise, put some of my new second hand boyz in Simple Green, and got Long Fangs, A few Wolf Guard and a drop pod assembled. I know the pitfalls of the pod now, so I can make the next ones a bit faster. May try to do another tonight.

@MiJ and Ashmie, is the Vikings you speak of the Kirk Douglas movie, or the TV series? I hear good things about the telly show and will probably pick it up myself.

@ LJ it's the new TV series mate. It's fantastic and I'm awaiting the 2nd season DVD.
Very very good.
I've just finished the finale of Game of Thrones season 4.
Sensational, best season yet.

Re: John Williams, Catch me if you can soundtrack makes me laugh also.

Bicycled over to my grandmother's place with my wife and spent several hours playing with my nephew. Then I bicycled home and added highlights to my Rhino and washes to my 222s.
