@JR - Nice conversion, but the shoulder pads aren't big enough to be a marine.
What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Today I assembled and undercoated a unit of Natal Native Contingent for my AZW project and I got a lick of paint put down on some IG armour.

Plus it is lacking in Hello Kitty.

Finished up my DZC stuff and got started on a couple units of Adeptus Mechanicus robots for Epic. Also spend 6 pounds on a second Ancients ruleset because for about the cost of lunch, why not?

@ JR: I thought that was Mickey mouse entombed in a Robo-cop suit. Anyway, fun looking conversion.
Tonight I added gold to the Defiler.

Re: What did you do today.
Finished up a fairly quick-and-dirty paint job on some cybernautic guard for my epic titan legions.

(They're 15mm war robots from Khurasan - those are 20mm bases.)
I hadn't really planned to add anything to my extant Epic armies, but the Epic UK guys released an army list for Titan Legions late last year, and pretty typically I liked it a lot more than the list in development over at EpiComms. Their focus on simplicity with a minimum of extra rules and - above all - army lists based on lots and lots of actual play rather than armchair theorycrafting makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Even if I have to spend a few bucks for a unit I hadn't owned before and don't really have any convenient place to store.
Next up, I may work on 10mm Middle-Earth battles for a bit. I'm enamored of the new Ancients game I picked up (Sword & Spear), not least because it looks much nicer for pick-up / demo games than the sometimes-fiddly Warmaster-based rulesets. Plus it has straightforward rules for putting together army lists of your own, making conversion of the pretty-generic fantasy that Middle-Earth necessarily is a snap. But it uses 4-base instead of 3-base units, so I'm a bit short in some areas. Bother.

Yesterday, I got some more paint down on my tank and started giving the NNC a basecoat.
@ToD - It's obviously up to you which ruleset you want to use, but don't forget that quite a few of the people who will want to try your demo have some experience of Warmaster derived games. Those AdMech 'bots look cool!

Re: What did you do today.
True enough, and I'd certainly like to try both rulesets. Sword & Spear needs bigger units, though, so if I collect towards that I'll be set for Warmaster and its variants.Primarch wrote:@ToD - It's obviously up to you which ruleset you want to use, but don't forget that quite a few of the people who will want to try your demo have some experience of Warmaster derived games. I did sort of realize this morning that I messed up with planning - I don't actually have anything primed and ready to go! Time to make some buildings while I wait for a laundryless morning or evening to roll around.
