What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
@Dekana, nice to see your IG shaping up.
A bit of family time for me too. Highlights were watching baby Louis' reactions to Bagpuss (bit too old for him but lots of approving 'ooh!' type noises) and to feeding him a yoghurt, which he can't seem to get enough of lately. Also began watching Breaking Bad again from the first episode, during some installments of which I continued cleaning up and basing the Fallschirmjager ready for painting. Half of the undercoating is done, maybe the second half of that will get done tomorrow. Never done camo before, should be interesting.

@Dekana: keep it up. Looks good.
@J-R: Badass abbott.
Tonight I got a lot of work done on my artillery and the officer and banner bearer.

Be sure you check out the multiplayer mode - it's really a lot of fun (and, in an odd design choice, has an effect on what ending you get in the single-player game).me_in_japan wrote:I also managed to start playing Mass Effect 3, in anticipation of my infinity stuff arriving soon. I hope, anyway - I got my dispatch notice about 2 weeks ago, but no sign yet...

Today I did some camo on some Waffen-SS, painted some muskets on some Napoleonic Brits (not going to be done in time for Last Huzzah) and put the base coat down on a land speeder and a stalker for my Raven Guard.

I was bit hesitant, too. In the end it was easier than I thought. It will look a bit naff at first, but once you get the wash down on it, it looks pretty ace!Lovejoy wrote:Never done camo before, should be interesting.
I have assembled nearly all my Raptors Space Marines - Theme is 1st, 2nd and 10th Companies working in unison. A lot of Green Paint in my future. The hardest and most interesting thing has been converting Land Speeder storm scouts on to normal bases. The end result was that they just look very dynamic and each with a different pose. In fact, I think I prefer them to the normal scouts which all have pretty much the same standing stance.

Re: What did you do today.
Painted some more grey armor panels last night - whee! I ought to be able to get the next unit all based out tonight if I can put aside an hour or so to paint. Should probably get the sand down on the infantry stands and get that unit primed black too.

Re: What did you do today.
Last night I finally managed to get all the 1000 pt Bolt Action Falschirmjagers ready (ie, based and spray undercoated). Although I see them as late war D-Day to Berlin force, I've gone for a rocky kind of base, thinking of Monte Cassino, and just because I haven't done that before. Also because I have a fairly big tub or cork 'rocks' to use.
Did a quick test model- Kojibear was spot on about the camo- before the wash, it looked pretty amateurish and awful, with green and brown splodges on yellow for patterning, but a brown wash, and hey presto- the camo is kind of alright. Whole mini took 10 mins excluding drying time, so I will just crank them out and do the finer detail later. Hopefully 2 weeks will be enough.

Re: What did you do today.
Not much done working on an Imp. Knight and modifying the Dark Vengeance dark angel space marines because i want to change them to Guardians of the Covenant, downloaded the chapter symbols sheet, does anyone know where to buy blank transfer sheets?
Re: What did you do today.
@jehan-reznor: I got my transfer sheets from amazon, bu I'm pretty sure I've seen them in joshin too.
I've been a little distracted lately, so I haven't finished those leman russes yet. I did take a couple of minutes to make some smoke for them though.

You can't spell slaughter without laughter.
Re: What did you do today.
Nice smoke. Great touch on any battlefield. Hopefully you get to put it on opposing tanks.
