Tonight, after work, I assembled most of three dropships. I left a few parts off so I can more easily magnetize some areas. I was able to magnetize most of my DzC stuff, last night and tonight, but I have to pick up some more tiny magnets at Joshin.

Today I had a thoroughly rubbish morning, the details of which I won't bore you with here, but suffice to say it culminated in me and the vice principal having to personally apologise to students' parents in person for mistakes made. Personally I reckon they were my mistakes, but to be fair to the school everybody up the food chain from me seems to be taking personal responsibility for it, too. Anyhoo - truly a day that will live in infamy :(

After that, I set out with the sole intent of salvaging what remained of the day by eating as much fried chicken and doughnuts as I could. Which, as it turns out, was a fair amount.

Finally, late this evening I made a bit of an attempt to tidy the hobby room. I dunno about you lot, but I find it all gets a bit overwhelming when you try to organize/sort through all your hobby stuff. I have stupid amounts of minis just sitting in boxes, and equally stupid amounts of basing material/sculpting stuff/half made dioramas/paint for terrain/airbrush stuff etc etc just overflowing from other boxes. Tomorrow it's gotta be a roll-up-yer-sleeves-and-tackle-that-beast day, methinks...

Ps and also: my Malifaux 2E:crossroads book arrived. Bloody big book, but sadly lacking on any sign of Oiran. Where'd they go, hmmm? I thought wave 2 was everything except Avatars?

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

My friend I'm afraid that you will fail. Hobby stuff just reproduces and jumps out of storage bins and closets when you are not looking.

For the last week I've been mussing about buying extra mechs for a full battalion and wondering if my wife will kill me slowly or ultra fast for it.

Got another little gobbo done. Tried my hand at some 1980s style freehand on the shield.

I might actually try to make a ROC warband with all the random bits and bobs I have.

Anyone fancy a game of ROC? :?

Yesterday was the first full day, rather than part of it, looking after the boy on my tod. Everything went like clockwork though, and it was great to get to hang out with him all day, feed him and what not. It's given me a better understanding of the day to day that my better half has to take care of. God knows how JK Rowling wrote a novel while doing it. No hobby, hopefully some bits later.

@Spevna, Beautiful old school gobboes. Talk of Realms of Chaos (I was playing less to not at all by the time it appeared) inspired me to look as this website again to find out more. Doubtless we all know about it, but just in case:-

Looks like they are regularly playing 'Oldhammer' down Foundry miniatures way!
Btw, The interviews with old hands on that site especially are great, bitter-sweet stuff considering what was and what now is GW. Very revealing re the golden age and the ways in which things changed.

@MiJ, my sympathies, sounds like a rough day and not a thing you want to be doing on your weekend. :(

Watched the latest episode of Dr Who.
I had been pretty underwhelmed with the series, but the latest one was pretty good I thought.

I like the grey gobbos!

Although that one looks like he's standing on a chocolate brownie.

Cheers.

Im planning on making a ROC warband out of them, so am holding off on the bases until I can think of something suitably gribbly for them.
