@ Auxryn: I can laugh at that joke so long as I don't see any pieces of leather or rope on your working space. :D

I plugged away on my two bikers tonight. Washes and such.

My nearest photo booth only does blue.

I think mine was much faster than 6 weeks, more like 3, so you may be lucky. Although the Passport Office was seriously struggling recently to process its backlog if I recall aright.

Would it help if I said I did mine online, had it approved and in the post by the next day, and in my hands within the week? :twisted:

Hobby wise, I base coated a large piece of scenery for my current top secret project. At this rate I might have something ready for January's Joshin event.

Also, lord save us from incompetent photographers. Given the blue issue with the photo booth, I figured I should just pay up and get a quick passport photo taken at the wee photo studio in the mall. 5 minutes service, it says...

45 FRICKIN' MINUTES LATER....!!

I walked out with some, frankly, mediocre mugshots. There's a point at which incompetence becomes funny, and this guy sailed right past it. I swear I was *this* close to just taking the camera off him and doing it all myself.

But at least the pics didn't have a blue background. There's that, I suppose...

Here's the finished product from this afternoon, in comparison with the picture from the book:

I'm going to try to touch up the gun a little, but I am reasonably ready to call it tabletop quality.

@Auxryn - Looks good.

Today I started building a US M10 Tank Destroyer, watched a few episodes of the Simpsons and did a tiny, tiny amount of painting.

Watched Star Trek First Contact a total of 3 and a half times in the past 3 days. Feeling like a Trekkie. Did a sci fi hangout on google for the film. It was a lot of fun.

This evening I did a smidge more painting. Things are making progress, which is good. It's been a good few weeks since I last did any painting, so it's good to be back on the wagon :)
