Got a small but heavy box with All quiet on the martian front kickstarter stuff, some resin scenery, specialty infantry, artillery, the red martian and the huge Patton IV tank.

I almost fell asleep while reading the new Necron Codex today. This was mainly due to being incredibly tired from getting up 30 minutes earlier everyday than I am used to, the book is pretty good. Some of the old book's powerhouses have been tuned down a bit, but it looks like Crons are still a fairly interesting looking army to play. The good news for everyone is that Scarabs no longer eat tanks as well as they used to, Deathmarks can no longer have an attached IC with an AP1 flamer and the flyers got a bit of a points hike.

Decided to put butt in chair and just paint a bit to get out of the doldrums. Finished up the base gray on a Neptune dropship and got started on a couple walkers for the PHR - Napoleonics will take the back burner for a bit, looks like.

Took a day off to go to parent's day at my daughter's school. They gave a speech about rice and played the recorder.
As that did not take the whole day, I spent the rest of it sculpting and making delicate, ladylike stick-bombs for what will by my Diggachick boss. You can tell the quality of a lady by the elegance and style of the explosives she carries. She also is packing a honkin' big, brutal spiked club.
