Nice conversion :) Lovely blades - the blue contrasts with the greens just right. Good work on the gems, too - proper pingy lightspots :) Is that a standard wood elf head? I only ask because he looks a lot like a final fantasy character. (whether this is a good or bad thing depends largely on your opinion of final fantasy...) My one criticism would be that he needs more contrast in his face. You can do this by adding some eyeshadow. You could do this au naturel by adding a wee bit of dark red brown to your base colour, or you could actually give him make up (hey, he's an elf, yknow...) and use a dark green or something. I'd say you could also shade his cheeks a wee bit (natural colour would be best for this, unless you fancy a nurgle wood elf army... :lol: ) Whichever colour you choose should be added to your base skin tone, so theoretically anything would do. The colour you choose will affect the overal feel of the mini (red/brown=warm, grey/blue=grim, green/grey=a bit unhealthy, etc.)

Anyway - lovely work on the mini. It's got nice, dynamic posing, and very appropriate colour choices. Job's a good un. :D

ps @mike - the stag is (i think) from warmahordes, legion of everblight. It looks a lot like the unit champion, but the head is different. Did you repose it, Tbear, or is it a different mini?

@Badruck: Thanks!

@Mike: The stag is a Privateer Press model (Raptors or something).

@MIJ: Yeah, standard Wood Elf head. He actually has a touch of eye shadow (Vallejo fleshtone wash), but I was a bit paranoid of overdoing it as I have on some of my other models. Hm, green eye shadow would be interesting. I took your advice on the gems, and they turned out better. Yeah, I had to use the legs that were moulded onto the stag, but I used bits from the Glade Rider sprue for the torso and arms. The fur on the cape (not really visible from this angle) was done with putty.

Nice work with the basing again. And extra kudos for sticking it to Mike's beastmen. :D

Also great work on the quiver and arrows. The whole model has an elegance befitting of an elf.
