Last night added bits of detail on the BA models and grass on their bases.

After a flurry of painting (got about 10 blokes done in a week), I have had to put the paint brush aside for a while to focus on drawing.

A while back I posted a sketch of an old school style chaos warrior I had done on Facebook. Off the back of that' I was commissioned to do some sketches for a small miniatures company called Forge of Ice.

About a week ago I was invited to join the design team (sounds fancier than it is) for a range of chaos miniatures. We are working on bringing out a range of miniatures that capture the feel of the old Realm of Chaos range. I don't have any dates yet, but a kickstarter could possible happens this year.

I'm feeling pretty chuffed that a few people like my artwork enough to ask me to design minis :)

You're living the dream! Well, provided that your dream is sketching artwork for chaos minis that is.

I'm certainly not living off of that dream.

@spev - meh, who needs money anyway?

Today I did some brushwork on the jack's left hand. This is about as done as the base coat is going to get. Highlights and shading:

I also did a test doodle to see if this freehand malarkey is as impossible as I feared. It's....actually not that bad. Clearly, I am no Bohun, but this took me half an hour, and one assumes that practice is only gonna help...

*edit* be kind to the freehand. Zoom out until it's actually the size of a warmachine infantry base...

eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

This evening I got most of the remaining work done on the Sherman and some more camo done on the SS.

Picked up the brushes for the first time in a week or so and did some work on my Nuns for Hunters of Ruin. Feet and bases aren't done yet, but reasonably happy with how they're coming otherwise.
