@agp get well soon mate. I hear chicken pox as an adult sucks far more than as a kid.

Also, congrats on the scenery :)

@andy C - yeah, I'm all fired up to see mad max. Now if only they would frickin release it here I might actually be able to join the rest of the world in their post-apocalyptic fun...

I feel kinda bad for not having done any hobby stuff for what feels like forever but is actually (*checks back a few pages...*) 3 weeks or so. I'm kinda starting to want to paint again, but mostly Malifaux. Trouble is, yon death jack is still sitting here in a state of disassembly. There's a mixed up pot of base coat slowly drying out, too. Hum.

On the plus side, didn't play any skyrim today! Yay for progress :)

On the down side, watched te first episode of The Walking Dead (technically again, but the first time was ages ago and I never made it past ep 2). Good show, but leaves me sitting here thinking that I really need to get stuff bought for my emergency post-earthquake pack. Bottled water, TP, nutri-bars, 6-shooter, machete - that kinda stuff... :?

AGP get well soon, not an anti-vaxer i hope.

Did some painting in the weekend but not much to show for it, finished some weapon bays for my Helios ships and magnetized some lightning claw arms for my 30k terminator marine.

This morning I undercoated a dozen minis, built some more terrain for my Secret Project, watched some more of Black Sails (very, very good show) and finished reading Blood on the Nile, the latest BP supplement.
Not a bad morning at all. :D

I'm back from a business trip to Rome. No hobby progress to report due to the travel, but I did get the opportunity to do a little sightseeing and visit the Colosseum - highly recommended!

@y-s - ooh, you lucky git. As I've certainly mentioned ad nauseum previously, history ain't really my thing, but I have to say the colosseum (and the attendant gladiatorial shenanigans) is one of the few exceptions. I really quite fancy going there some time. Glad you enjoyed it, though :)

I was ill, not an idiot. :P They only give the vaccine here to people who are particularly vulnerable - health workers who've not had it, that sort of thing. Really, it's as easy to just catch it as a child and get it over and done with. :)

@Yellowstreak, never been to Italy, jealous! Benefits of having a proper job, eh. One can dream.
Booked a flight for the UK, 30th July to 18th August, so a good long lay off. I had wanted to stay a day less either side of those dates, but the airfare would have been 250 quid more..go figure, eh.
I notice that the Claymore wargames show is on in Scotland (Edinburgh more precisely) on the 1st August..wondering if it's worth the trip up from Carlisle. It isn't too far I suppose.

No time for hobby really. I could force myself after work, but I'm tired pretty much perpetually and there are chores to be done. Oh, and the old aircon relocated to the hobby room in the new house has broken down, new one doesn't get installed until 27th. Joshin is coming however so I'd better at least do something on some minis.
