@ MtP: Nice additions, but you haven't tried cow tipping in your life, huh?

Well, I got back from Hokkaido this afternoon. I can't believe we all choose to live in this cesspool of humidity and pollution! Gosh the air was nice up in Hakodate. I recommend you all to go. Reminds me of Oregon, but the foods even better. The beer middling, but not bad.

Then, I had my iPhone fixed. I failed to remodel the screen last week by dropping it on the ground, but fortunately I kept the SoftBank insurance on it so it won't be so bad. Anyway, I'm not reading the forum through a spiderweb and having shards of glass come off on my fingers now.

And, having a bit of time coming back from the Mac Store in Sakae, I decided to drop by 23 Craftbeer and had a taste of home with Rogue Beer's Barleywine. Fantastic stuff. Sweet aroma, tangy taste and strong. I managed it back home but I'm drunk.

Oh, I also managed to put some matt varnish on the Blood Slaughterer's decals. I believe that qualifies as progress. :D

Aren't your wife's family from around this part of Japan?

@Pikey - Graffiti? That's no way to treat the Queen's property. You Kiwis are nearly as bad as the bleedin' Krauts. :lol:

This evening I mainly sat and did assembly work on some minis. I have 5 new recruits for the Black Bull, ready for the push into Holland to relieve the pressure on those brave boys in the airborne. And, in what may be good news for Lovejoy (or bad depending on how much he has to paint at the moment), I assembled 12 brave men and true, all loyal to the crown and the rightful King of England.

Ah, all this chat of tanks, loyal soldiers and slaughtery death machines...

Here's a nearly finished mini in tights and a top hat 8-)

Image

Still need to highlight the gloves and work out what to do about the tassels on the stool and the cane. Logic says gold, but there's no other gold bits and I reckon it'd stick out too much.
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Well done with the highlights. You have darn good patience to highlight the fur so.

I can report also a bit more work on blood and slaughter and a wee bit on the beastmen before bed.

@MiJ: That's just ace mate.

@Prim:

And you fancy yourself an Historian?
1) Queen? Being WW2 it would have been King Colin F-f-f-f-f-irth's property not his teenage daughter Lizzy's.
2) We were an independent nation that funded it's own army (with massive help from the Seppos). If we want to write on our armoured cars, we will!

Independent Nation? or Dominion?
In 1931 the Statute of Westminster was passed in the UK, granting full sovereign status to it's Dominions. New Zealand was the last Dominion to vote that statute into law in... 1947. (Technically the Dominion of Newfoundland was the last Dominion to leave the Empire, but they did so by being merged with Canada, not by the Statute of Westminster). New Zealand then removed the last of the British laws and passed it's own Constitution into law in... 1986.

Your Wikipedia-fu is strong...
But I don't think anyone but the most ardent imperialist would have considered New Zealand as anything but an independent nation by the late thirties, no matter what title was attached to our country. We declared war on Germany, by ourselves, as a sovereign entity...blah...blah...blah...

BTW What constitution? My sister wrote her PhD thesis and published a book on how we don't actually have a single unifying document in the American sense, rather there is hodge podge of documents written and generally (not universally) accepted over the past 150+ years as a de-facto founding document. :-P

Well, the UK recognised you as a sovereign state 16 years before you did. :lol: Not our fault you Kiwis are a bit slow on the uptake. :D :D :D :D

There is no entrenched law that forms the New Zealand constitution. The Constitution Act 1986 and a collection of statutes (Acts of Parliament), the Treaty of Waitangi, Orders in Council, letters patent, decisions of the Courts and unwritten constitutional conventions, comprises only a portion of the uncodified constitution of New Zealand.
From the linked article at the bottom of the Wikipedia article you obviously didn't read. :D

I stand my previous statement. :-P

P.S. Watch out or I'll set my sister on you. She's a hardcore constitution nerd. She was even referenced in your own Parliament during debate on the UK's own non-codified constitution. :twisted:

Of course I didn't read it. I'm not about to go reading through links on wikipedia just for an internet discussion. :D If it isn't on the top page, in the summary section, it is obviously too much effort for a lazy git like me. :lol:
