The Sisters of silence can be built with sword, bolter or flamethrowers

I finally, a couple years after buying them, maybe? Finally put paint to miniature on the first of those ancients I bought way back when, a unit of Persian infantry to be precise. They look OK! It's kind of liberating, after painting Napoleonics and WWII miniatures for the last while, to paint some historical stuff whose "real" color schemes are more or less a matter of conjecture, rather than having a painstaking database of the exact uniforms worn by every single unit present at Waterloo. (I went with indigo, with yellow smurf hats and white leggings, by the way.)

You know, I think I will get a couple units of BP figures and paint them pink. Oh! Oh! Better! Sergeant Wellington's Lonely Hearts Club Band! Oh! Oh! French Blue Meanies! Anti Music Missle artillery! Somebody stop me!

recently progress on my kraken has stalled. Whyforso is this? Well, it's because of Tieflings. Quite a lot of Teiflings, actually. And some daemony things. More daemony than Tieflings, I mean. I'm painting some for Kbear, so ol' Kraky is on the back burner for a bit. Not a bad thing, tbh - my eyes were going a bit squizzy from painting bronze :? Kbear has very kindly said it's OK for me to post WIP here, so without further ado, here is the P of my W.

The gang has been assembled and undercoated, and test Tiefling numba 1 was mostly done yesterday evening and today.

The Happy Gang (probably not actually their name...)

next steps: brownish gold on knives, boots (actually just noticed most of boots are not metal. Will do the leathery bits dark grey as per armbands), shoulders, bumplate and misc twirly bits, purple lips and possibly eyeshadow, coal black hair (the PP colour, not actual black), and finally, like unto the gruffalo of legend, orange eyes.

Snazzy - who makes those?

In order to avoid thinking about... things, I stayed up till much too late putting base decorations on some Persians and putting together a couple very snazzy 15mm French farm houses that arrived from Gamecraft this afternoon.

How 'bout that? Unfortunately, it's now like 1:00 so I have to go to bed, where I won't have hobby busywork to keep my mind off... things.

Reaper. I have some of the same Bugbears (big hairy dudes at the back right of M_i_J's pic) on my desk right now actually.

Probably best not to, at least for about 4 years or so.

I finished the (very simple - gamecraft really does make nice stuff) job of putting my farmhouses together this evening - which officially brings to a close my 15mm WWII project - and celebrated with some pictures of the whole shebang in action. I may revisit it later, get some British and a bit more terrain, after I do the next couple things on my hobby list, namely Sails of Glory, my long-dormant Ancients project and (whenever it gets here) Dropfleet Commander.

Still, it's been a very satisfying little project! If anybody is intrigued by the idea, but feels about painting a platoon in 15mm the way I feel about doing it in 28, this is me offering to paint your dudes for you! :D

Finished TT#1. Her base will get the same snow treatment my goblins have. Just need to wait for the paint to dry 100%.

Very nice, love that palette. You should sprinkle some crushed walnuts on that chocolate brownie base, though.
