That is some lovely, dusty work on that tank. You just drybrush it or get fancy with weathering powders and stuff?
Just because I need 2 more unfinished conversion projects in the box, I decided to chop up an old Mordheim Amazon I sculpted years ago and get her ready for GoMo. One of my Digga-chicks now has a shiny, Archeo-tech Zap gun, and this old Amazon just happened to have the perfect gun. While I had the saw and drill out, I chopped up one of the Digga-chicks I made this summer that I was not entirely happy with and see if I can make her a bit more proportional and fix this hideous buggy eye she has.

Not happening much this week, was a little under the weather, built like 20 genestealers i acquired like a year ago just to find out how much left overs i had for my BFG conversion plans.

Oh and Kingdom Death is a cheery plac if you are insane, it is like Dark Souls the Board Game ;)

Last night I put the first coat of yellow on my PHR cruiser, so of course it looks pretty ugly at the moment.

I'm thinking deeply about how I might spend my cash allowance / suitcase space allowance when I visit the States over the break. I kind of want to see if I can get some genestealer hybrids for my ASC set, I want to pick up Sabine's tie fighter for X-wing, and if anybody local carries Dropfleet I might want to get some more PHR...

Saw Rogue One today. All kinds of stuff happens in it, but I'll save that particular post for another time, shall I?

And I got one of the chopped-up Diggaz, fixed-up and painted. The face is a lost cause, but the abdomen and ribs are an improvement.

Besides that I spent most of the weekend merrily puttying. Been putting straps and buckles on boots, sculpting ears, and roughing out some kit-bash conversion gribblies for Frostgrave with my "what do I do with this left over putty" putty.

Went to see Rogue One with my Dad. We enjoyed it. Very different this year with a few nice surprises. I think you guys will like it.
Last year I missed my family when we watched Star Wars in Nagoya at the imax. That was a great night out. This year I missed you guys.
Merry Christmas everyone. ;)

Haven't posted much on here for a bit, so here goes.
Over the past few weeks I have mainly been working on getting an Anglo-saxon Warband painted for Saga. So far most of the base colours and the first couple of washes are on them and I am in the rather slow process of highlighting them. Alongside the Saxons on the workbench, I have a variety of Reaper minis as I try to put a dent in the large pile of unpainted white plastic that I have acquired from the previous 2 Kickstarters. Reaper's third KS is nearly reaching fulfillment, so I expect another hundred or so figures to arrive early next year, followed by their 4th KS in mid-late Spring. I'm trying hard to make some significant progress to justify the 2-300 dollars I will no doubt be pledging for more Bones.

Not much to report here, but probly should as I haven't been saying much. Painting has been on and off a lot recently, with my kids being ill (again! wee germ factories, so they are. Can they not just stay healthy for a week? Is that too much to ask? eh? hmmf. No respec' round here for their elders and betters. grumblegrumblemutter etc etc.) and also me getting sick, too (in a valiant, striving-against-all-odds, kind of way. Not like the kids. Not at all... :? )

anyway. Been plugging away on the hairy beastie monsters for Kbear (and have reached the unfortunate conclusion that turquoise hair, while fine in small amounts, say on a tiefling, does not work so well on a big hairy beasties. Will need to repaint the hair :( ) and also on my DFC stuff. On which note, i got a battleship and a space station box in the post today. ooooohooooohoohooooo. Yon battleship is a big bugger and no mistake

I'm heading back home for the holidays today, so I did a last bit of painting last night - the "heavy lifting" on my PHR cruiser, leaving just touch-ups on the metallics and other mechanical bits.

And the whole fleet so far. I think the effect is quite striking when taken as a whole like this.

So, yeah. A battleship for this fleet is in my future.
