This evening I put some paint on some Viking archers, assembled a Saxon hut and started detailing two other Saxon buildings.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I finished up my second of three "zoats" for Advanced Space Crusade last night - there's no space in the case for the third one, so it'll probably wait unfinished until I expand my collection a bit. Which may happen sooner than I'd been thinking, as I just noticed tactical marine sprues from Betrayal at Calth are pretty cheap on eBay and that'd give me what I need for a devastator squad (plus a third tactical squad, why not?) for much cheaper than the dev squad box set.

Painting has slowed down a bit, though, as I got through my new models backlog, leaving just edge-case and low-priority stuff to do for now (still yet more stuff for my 6mm napoleonics, some bits and bobs for my epic orks, that sort of thing). I'll probably prime up that third 28mm building tonight for something to do.
Feel free to call me Dave!

How many heavy weapons do you need for a devastator squad? The BaC sprues have 1x Missile Launcher and 1x Heavy Bolter.

That's what a devastator squad has in ASC, yeah. 3 bolters, 1 missile launcher, 1 heavy bolter - it's still based on a RT-type squad from the Compendium book. Then the other 5 guys can be a 5-man tac squad with a plasma gun.

:( This morning I shipped my Dark Eldar off to a buyer in America. I git an OK price for them but it was a tad sad to see them go.

In more pleasent news, over the last week, I assembled and primed an entire Soviet Force for Bolt Action.

I haven't had much time for anything really and am very out of the gaming loop. The odd snatched bit of special ed Skyrim on my new Telly in mancave. And, Total War Warhammer finally dropped on Mac yesterday. So there's that... It's certainly scratching the Old World itch. Recently received some new paints, old pots were in a sorry state and I had to bin a lot. But now am looking to give the Dallimore style a try.
Lots of old school greenskins getting bases, on the work table, some from my teenage collection, others from green skin wars ks. Latter are gorgeous, Kev Adams sculpts, and I'm delighted to have them.
Keeping an eye on shadow war and new 40k, let's hope for big changes, this being 2017. Things move on.

This week I have mainly been painting Vikings, though last night I did work on some terrain. I spent about an hour painting PVA glue onto Teddy Bear Fur with a Toothbrush. (Sounds like a wierd version of Cluedo, I know).
I've also started playing a Choose-your-own-adventure style RPG on my phone called The Great Tournament. Very simple, well written and free to play if you don't mind the occasional ad. :D
