Well, that was scary. My PC is working again, but when I booted up Chrome wouldn't work, only Microsoft Edge. #shudder# Luckily I was able to reinstall Chrome easily and now it's up and running again. :D

Tonight I got most of the flock down on my two units of Viking skirmishers, and I'm in the process of assembling a couple units of heavy infantry and priming some chaos space marines and a grey knight to paint in-between dark age units.

Putting the final touches on a couple of GoMo Boyz. Down to the bases and a touch up here and there. Trying to get them done by the weekend for a paint comp at Yaktribe.
And realized as I was tidying up, I forgot to bring Prim's bear to Naghammer. Next game day? Or pm me and I'll drop it off sometime.

My first couple units of vikings, some hapless farmers (and paint method test subjects):

On the one hand, they'll look a bit better with some static grass on the bases, but on the other that would be kind of a pain. I'm going to take a break from vikings with a grey knight and some chaos marines for my ASC set, then get in on some heavy infantry.

I should mention that, depending on how psyched the impending release of 40K 8th edition makes me, my initial purchase of Italians might be pushed back to "after I buy some more space marines". :? 40K might beat out grog here for a bit, heh.
I flicked on NHK this morning to check the forecast for today's school Undoukai. The reporter promised warm, fine weather but also warned of severe ground frost as apparently Hell froze during the night. The reporter also advised us to take an umbrella when we go outside, not so much as a parasol, but to protect ourselves from the falling porcine dung from the huge flocks of flying pigs soaring over Aichi this week.

I think I saw the same report. There was a news story following it that warned folks to be on the lookout for Bizarro clones of people. They are fairly easy to spot apparently as their behavior is the exact opposite of what the originals usually do.

Scary stuff.

Fellow human friends! I want to assure you all that I am not, repeat NOT, an alien reptoid agent who has kidnapped the "Other Dave," and that reports that I am wearing an ill-fitting latex human suit as I go out and about (NOT, I should say, to scout out potential landing sites for reptoid colony ships, AS IF!) are at least slightly exaggerated.

Also, Warhammer 40,000 is cool and good!

And today I finished up this rather-difficult-to-photograph fellow, a Stranger for the space marines to stumble upon in Advanced Space Crusade. Hopefully he won't have a mind slaver crab in him when they find him.

(The RAW calls for an Inquisitor in terminator armor with a power sword and storm bolter, and while an Ordo Xenos would indeed be more characterful for ASC, this is a pretty good fit I reckon.)

That's how they get you. Pretty soon it'll be an army of Grey Knights and more besides.
