What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
I really dig the negavolt cultists. I'm actually ok with the poses. And that living cabling thing for hair is just too cool. I like the different colors for cakes too. They really make a bold statement.
Edit: colors for cables.

This relapse is a big one. I just went out and got...alot of stuff. Nurgle's rot is really setting in. Everyone goes through a nurgle phase right? right?
Re: What did you do today.
Do you feel a trembling in your hands, a rising fever and the urge to paint a variety of greens and browns? Definitely Nurgle's Rot I'm afraid. The only remedy is large doses of promethium, served at around 3000+℃.jus wrote:This relapse is a big one. I just went out and got...alot of stuff. Nurgle's rot is really setting in. Some of those new Nurgle minis are awesome, from the Glotkin to the new Death Guard, GW have produced some fantastic minis for the range.

@Primarch/MIJ: Thank you for your expressions of support. Yes I'm really feeling it now. I will be sure to attend the 12 step programme for reintegration into
disgustingly glorious hobby mania.
mm next to the Great Unclean One, which without 5 seasons of breaking bad I would never have gotten to this level of completion, the Death shroud terminators are my favorite nurgle/death guard miniatures so far. The fluff in the novels say they've been bloated by the power of chaos, but they really are the biggest marines I've ever assembled. I mean, I'm talking bigger than Custodes big, and that's already pretty big for a space marine.

Re: What did you do today.
Welcome back to the fold, jus! I can't wait to see what you cook up.
After a quick paint job on the ur-ghuls from Blackstone, I got started on Taddeus the Purifier, not-at-all skeevy old ministorum priest, and spent about as much time getting just his robes almost done as I spent on the ur-ghuls altogether.

Re: What did you do today.
Earlier this week I finished these chaps off.
6 Policemen well armed and ready to fight crime.

Here we have 3 SWAT officers. I'm thinking to name one Poindexter.

And here are 2 beat cops and Detective 'Filthy' Harold Calhoun.

All of the figures are from North Star's range for A Fistful of Kung Fu. On the whole they were clean, crisp casts with the exception of the detective who had a small miscast on the side of his face. Rather than risk filing it off and removing all of the details I painted it to look like he'd been beaten and his face was swollen. Now he has a shotgun and is out for some payback. To jazz his base up I added a chalk outline from a crime scene along with some dried bloodstains.

Re: What did you do today.
@Prim - looking good! I do like how you worked with the miscast - I'd probably just have thrown my hands up.
A couple more finished duders for Blackstone - Ur-ghuls;

(Still mad they killed my character...)
And Taddeus, who has strong opinions about Purification (and, by all appearances, donuts):

(The servoskull is actually bone-colored, it's just in the shadow of the book.)
I also got a squad of cheap Intercessors in the mail (Dark Imperium models are going very affordably right now - a second squad of Inceptors is also probably in my future) to make up a squad of Veterans for if I want to use the Indomitus Crusade special formation rules at some point in the future. They're fairly low on the paint queue though - I want to finish Blackstone by, say, Nagoya game day in February, then finish up the second unit of cavalry for my Stormcast, before getting to work on them.
Edit: Also I just remembered I have two Shadespire warbands to finish.
And I'd been doing so well about keeping my paint queue short!
