Yes, they are all Fireforge. One of the minis got a hand swap with a Gripping Beast figure as I wanted to put a musician in the unit.YellowStreak wrote:@Koji Welcome back! Hope it was a good trip!
@Prim Nice work! Are they some of the fireforge plastics?

And some models I finished off a while back that I hadn't got around to posting yet.
The Pen Is Mightier crew for Malifaux.

This is a Guild crew led by Nellie Cochrane and her totem, the Printing Press. Nellie gathers 'evidence' against enemy models and can use it to push them, set them on fire and to remove scheme markers. The press helps with that.

The henchwoman from the set is Phiona Gage (left) and the other themed henchwoman is Allison Dade (right). Phiona is the crew's only themed melee model. Allison is more of a buff/debuff model that helps drain opponent's cards.

The crew's minions, the Field Reporters. They are reasonable for moving enemy models around and running schemes I guess.

Re: What did you do today.
nice work on the mali figs, Prim. They do do a nice line in unorthodox methods of attack, dont they? And the sculpts are usually pretty damn schnazzy, too. I need to play some Malifaux this year - havent played in ages, and it's a fun game. I believe 3E is coming at some point? Or is my brain making that up?

3E is going through an open beta test at the moment.

Re: What did you do today.
Good to know. I'm not entirely sure if I want to get on board with a new edition, as I havent played in ages, but I'm keen to play Mali of some kind, so if you (or indeed, anyone) is up for some 2E, I'd be down for that. I mean, if the game sees anything of a renaissance here I'd certainly consider a buy in to 3E, just at the mo it doesnt seem worthwhile.
Today, I did a bit of painting (gasp!), and am in fact nearly finished with a treeman I am painting for a client. To be completely honest, I should really have finished it ages ago, but it's been hard work getting myself back to the painty desk. Still, nearly done now. After that: 2 elveses wiv big 'air. (wardancers, to use the technical term.) I also booked my hotel for Naghammer, so that's me pretty definitely surely coming. Probably.
Finally (and this'll mean nothing to non-magic players) I just now won a game by milling my opponent and drawing my last card on my last turn, leaving him (or her?) with nothing in their library to start their next turn. Seriously squeaky bum inducing stuff, let me tell ya. The game went on for half an hour, which is loooooooong in magic terms. I was playing Esper (WUB) control and they were playing GUB aggro. An awesome match for the ages, to be sure

*yes, yes, I realise that nobody really gives a monkey's about Magic here. It was just a great game, and I wanted to share. Feel free to nod politely and otherwise ignore me

@M_i_J - Congratulations, both of you getting down to your last cards and neither of you running 'mill' decks means that you must have been closely matched. Perhaps a little less jargon would help make your epic battles more accessible to the non-MTG crowd?
I agree about Malifaux 3E. I am quite happy with 2E, especially since I bought every pack of upgrade cards for it. As with most games, I don't play it anywhere near as much as I would like to and probably not enough to justify the outlay for new books/decks etc.

Re: What did you do today.
Yeah, I'm not excited about picking up 3E, but I'd cheerfully play some 2E Malifaux any time.
I've been chugging along on my squad of Intercessors - 2 of 5 complete, and the next three are working through the edge highlighting stage. Also been working on the mission packet for NagoyaHammer, trying to remember to keep it simple.
I've also pretty much decided to pick up Adeptus Titanicus 2018 and a maniple of titans, if only to paint (although some of the guys at Ichinomiya, and Kondo-san here in Nagoya have said they're interested in playing), as soon as my spring bonus comes through. The call of big chonky robots was, in the end, too strong for Dave. The fact that there's a (relatively) affordable army bundle (you basically get the reaver free) helps.

Does that include any of the rules or Titan data sheets that you need to play? The Other Dave wrote:The fact that there's a (relatively) affordable army bundle (you basically get the reaver free) helps.

No, you’ll need the 8000-yen rules set for that.Primarch wrote:Does that include any of the rules or Titan data sheets that you need to play? The Other Dave wrote:The fact that there's a (relatively) affordable army bundle (you basically get the reaver free) helps.

Don't you already have a collection of titans though? The Other Dave wrote:No, you’ll need the 8000-yen rules set for that.Primarch wrote:Does that include any of the rules or Titan data sheets that you need to play? The Other Dave wrote:The fact that there's a (relatively) affordable army bundle (you basically get the reaver free) helps. But the savings on the titans pay for it? (Yeah, it’s a steep buy-in on this thing.)
