Let me know when da Boyz get Gargantz and I'll start kit-bashing!
We had a guy back in the day who's old Epic, Gargant was made from a plastic Easter egg. He was called "Frosty" complete with a stove pipe hat...

And swung by the Nagoya Miniatures Club display/demo yesterday. Anyone else drop in? Talked to Itakura san about "Rangers of Shadow Deep". I am very interested in giving that a go. Lots of pretty toys. Big, big toys. Those new Greater Daemons are like big as Bandai Urutoraman figures. And I so wish I had time to do up a Knight. It would be resplendent in a riot of shocking heraldry.

Today I finished assembling a bunch of Vikings for Kojibear and started assembling some figures for myself. I also got the final lick of paint onto some marines that have been hogging my painting desk since the start of the month. Once the paint had dried, I tried applying some decals to the shoulder pads using various Adeptus Ministorum approved decal solutions. Hopefully they will dry and fit correctly as I don't want to have to repaint them and do all the insignia freehand.

I've been working on a snail, which is mostly done. Still need to tart up the base a good deal, but the basic idea will be mud and branches and rocks and general scumbly swamp-type stuff. Also need to do summat with his face. Interestingly, this is pretty much what real snail faces look like*, and I could still go that direction just by tidying things up a bit. Might give him more tentacles or a leech mouth or something though, still not sure.

*also, did you know that putting snails on your face is a Thing People Do (tm)? Cos I sure as hell do now. Seriously, you'd think you could search for "snail face" on google images and safely come away with a bunch of snail face reference pics, but noooooooo...

Oooh, nice! I'm on the record as liking the goofy comical face on the stock model, but this is a really cool realistic take. (And legit good sculpting! If there was an etsy market for large snail sculptures, I think you'd be set.)

Thank you for your kind words. Actually, this is not my first rodeo when it comes to sculpting molluscs. It's amazing, the skills you pick up as a nurgle player

It seems like you've found your niche.
I'm looking forward to seeing your progression on your Nurgle gribbly.

@ MiJ: Love it! I like slug, but I also like the detail of the tree digging up a trail behind it.

I do have a wee bit of progress to report. I’ve been watching Season 8 of GOT, but between that and cooking a pot of gumbo soup last night, I did get some additional paint on my venomcrawler. It’s all slow going right now with so much to do and so little time to do everything (actually it feels kinda like season 8 of GOT... without the zombie attacks and dragons burning up stuff).
