Re: Prim Ruins Christmas!

I've been baby sitting Louis all day while the missus is working since the 27th, so I'm sorry for the late comment here.
This was great, a memorable event. It had been a while since I'd seen most of the usual faces, so this was a welcome post-xmas gaming opportunity, compliments to Prim on arranging everything!

Managed three games, including two Dredd games. The first saw MtP's East Meggers join forces with my Jeremy Corbyn Block Citi-Def to take on MiJ's gang. The latter were quite experienced, as MiJ said. The credits were balanced, but the weapons and talents we faced made it an uphill struggle (we had starter lists) which ended with the last remaining leaders of our joint faction cowering in a small but beautiful 4ground building before being sent to resyk.

In the second Dredd game, I made a basic Justice Dept list to take on MtP's sovs, so this time we were opposing each other. My sector 6 cleanup squad lost one member, but neutralised the Pinko opposition, pew pew pew. I like heatseekers.
Hope the one sided intro wasn't too depressing, Mike! The man owns a Dredd t-shirt, so I am sure he'll be back for more. Regarding the first game, I am cooking up vengeful plans to take down Dave's scum..I'm thinking Judges..Lawmaster cannons, stub gun, lazooka might cut through that armour and settle that score.

Mike and I played Hunters of Ruin to finish. I've played the objective grabbing scenario twice now including this time. I think I made one attack only in the whole game, Mike shot me a lot, but that on-message focus (i.e., grab the stuff and scarper) worked out and my sweaty, smelly bovines got a win.
I like the beastkin rules, they seem a bit buffed compared to their prior list, although I'm not sure whether taking the heavier armours is worth it in general, given that a good roll can negate their effectiveness.
And I shouldn't have put plate armour on a 4" move model!
